Vouchers, no funding, culture wars, and a governor and state legislature that seems to actively want to end public education in this state. Will things ever change? Have we hit rock bottom or can it always get worse? I’ve been teaching in this state for over 20 years and it’s never been so tough, and I actually really like my school and district. But the state stuff!!! 🤦🏻♀️😩
Watching “Amends” and wondering about the officers who work in the property room. Seems like a boring albeit safe job where you can work and still earn a salary, benefits, and pension. But I remember an episode of SVU (“Recall”) where Dani Beck insults the property room officer and basically implies you only get stuck there/demoted if you’re a loser, and we often see these guys not knowing where old evidence is and not seeming to care much about it. What are we supposed to make of these property room officers?
Anyone else dealing with this? I’ve never been the most confident driver, but ever since peri hit (specifically when I started skipping periods entirely), I’ve noticed my anxiety when driving - even when driving familiar roads - is a lot higher than it was.
