Shotos being the only characters worth playing is really grating
It's truly fucking incredible how the characters that're supposed to be the "I do everything but am mid bc I don't excel in particular things" are the only good characters in the game. Like there's no fucking reason why Ken, Ryu, Akuma, and Juri should just get to do whatever they want with no repercussions. I'd love to know what crack Japan is smoking to make them believe that IN WHATEVER FANTASY LAND THEY INHABIT THAT ELENA AND DEEJAY ARE S TIER AND LILY IS A TIER. HOW FUCKING BAD ARE FUUDO AND DOGURA BEATING YOUR SORRY ASSES. YOU'RE PLAYING CHARACTERS THAT HAVE BARELY CHANGED SINCE THE GAMES RELEASE AND ONLY GOTTEN STRONGER! Put simply, if you play a shoto you don't deserve respect since you obviously don't want to engage with your opponent in a meaningful way.
