I got to do this…

I got to decorate for Halloween.
Mainly just the foyer table indoors.
But also the porch-
Though not as much as prior years;
But even so, I kept thinking while I was pulling out things including stuff my son made in prior times, how glad I am because last November I didn’t know if I’d get to do this.

Clinical Trial for HER2 + MBC

Hi all,

Came across this clinical trial (see shared link) -
it is for those w/HER2 + MBC who progressed on HER2 targeted therapy.

Houston is listed site location.

It’s interesting to read about ways that cholesterol drug Simvastatin blocks certain pathways that tumor cells use.

Hope it could be useful.

PET scan & radiation thx same day?

Hi all,

Have a couple of questions-
(and I’m not asking for medical advice).

Just want to know if anyone had a PET scan on same day they had their scheduled radiation?

Also, how long out from radiation simulation until you started your radiation sessions?

I’m HR - HER2+
Finished chemo in March, had surgery in early May,
Ran out of leave from surgery- back to work, haven’t started radiation yet. Had chemo simulation about 2.5 weeks ago- don’t know when will start radiation.

Meanwhile my medical oncologist just moved up wanting PET scan from August to midJuly.
I scheduled the PETscan but now realize radiation, which surely must start soon, will fall right on when PET has been scheduled.

Maintenance Herceptin & Perjeta Side Effects

I’m HR -, HER 2 +

In late March I completed 6 chemo & have restarted HP now as maintenance this month. I’ve also run out of work leave.

I had anticipated would have SE from the HP loading dose 3 weeks ago, (worst was abdomen cramping, ^^^ diarrhea, at 2 weeks out).

However, I had 2nd regular dose infusion yesterday & have SE of diarrhea, somewhat nauseous & fatigue. Also re-stir up of some neuropathy- I’m gathering that HP therapy SE are cumulative & maybe why I’m having issues.

Would really like to hear from those who are on HP maintenance,-
Did you have this SE at beginning of maintenance?
Does it abate after awhile?
What did you do to help?

Thanks in advance for input.
