Getting back into the mix.

So, I've been playing Diablo 3 for a while (5 hours), and I have kinda been mindlessly grinding, and I don't know metas/strategies, etc. I don't feel like redoing the campaign to figure out all the gimmicks to this game (like a tutorial), so I was hoping someone could guide me through adventure mode for all the IMPORTANT NPCS and things I really should care about. I quit Diablo 4 because it got boring, and D3 seems more entertaining right now.

I started to play Necromancer because Blood Spear feels REALLY fun to play with.

Poor Balancing Rant (Switch Edition)

I've been playing Switch Frag for about 100 hours and the same with Mobile, so I should know what to expect. When it comes to "Balancing," Mobile builds have WAY more versatility than Switch.

Aside from the fact they put 80% of the roster behind a pay wall, which i can geinunely understand. But the promotion for this game is BUILDS synergy and so much more, so when you're locked out of MOST of the cast, it's a giant contradiction.

While playing through the game and checking out the Meta and Builds, I noticed that Splashy and Aldric are in every single 7K Trophy build. The issue being they're behind a pay wall. Oh, wait - silly me. The top 50-100 best players are using the SAME EXACT BUILD aside from maybe 1 character. But 2 characters that stay the exact same are Splashy and Aldric. What the hell is the balancing if I need to spend 20$ to use the same P2W build everyone else is using? Where's the fun and creativity. If I want to be a top 100, I would need to spend like 40-60 dollars to use the same build everyone else is using.

The issue here is that I have played the Mobile version, I have seen the best builds, I know the versatility, and I know how these characters play by heart. Instead of doing lazy Mobile ports and making us spend 20 dollars, make actual unique characters for Switch that have fun gimmicks that don't make them broken. I assure you people aren't wasting money on this game because a character is "fun" they're doing it, so the previous money they spent won't be wasted when they quit. It's predatory.

The only 3 reasons to play Switch Frag are because it feels more polished, no ad spam, and no AI.

This game is not "Pay 2 Win" it's "Pay to Play." You do not get rewarded for playing. You get rewarded for paying. Also, it doesn't help how I still gotta wait 8 hours to make a TINY bit of progress, though the Battle Pass does make things easier, and that should legit just be a feature. That's F2P, being able to get a free chest every 3-4ish games you win/play. It makes the 8H chests at least more bearable.

I just don't understand why 80% of the roster is locked despite the fact you're still updating Switch and making new character/porting them to Switch is enough to keep your game floating. But keeping the game locked tightly makes it hard for people unfamiliar to get into the game, and then there's events that give you legendaries/epics YOU CAN'T EVEN USE.

Edit: I forgot to mention K Boom... That's the only F2P saving grace. The fact that K Boom is free and has a ridiculously OP Shotgun. For F2P, you're literally forced to use characters specifically to aid K Boom cause he's your main wincon😭✌️

Frag's Downfall (Rant)

Was there a legitimate reason why they made this game AI slop? They couldn't even bother making their trailers traditionally. Somewhere, a dev said on reddit that the person who made the profiles for the characters was the one that made/approved the AI generation versions and remade it themselves... I seriously don't believe that, considering a MAJORITY of the characters don't even look how they're supposed to.

The matchmaking system is also scummy. You can go 6 back to back queues with bots, and then you fight someone with an entire P2W maxed out deck. They need to make a wide margin of the game faster. Cause why do I need to wait 8 hours for a pitiful amount of cash and cards. I wouldn't even be mad if they shortened all timers by like 85% and DECREASED the drop chances of chests.

It's just agonizing playing this game. One of the only saving graces is the battle pass (basically the only FREE way to obtain cards almost whenever you feel like it).

I played this game sometime during Season 5 or early. And it's sad seeing this game implode because of bad matchmaking, time consumption, and poor choices/balancing.

Examples: i liked Blot's ability rework. But WHY did he become Melee when the game was currently going through its Melee oversaturation with Ron1n, Hannibal, Red Shadow, and more. The longer it goes on, the more painful it gets brah😭

You can have a game with micro-transactions that make gameplay more convenient without making it predatory/P2W. The issue is that you kept the base game the exact same way while adding more ways to bypass the hard work of the game while adding no compensation for F2P players. Instead of making every GOOD legendary in the past Premium, how about actually making WORTH-While / gimmick characters that look fun to play without making them stupidly broken? Then you have marketing. The fun should be the play, not how you spent your money to dominate.

Edit: Can we talk about how Streetfrag was so good but one of the literal most useless game modes because it doesn't provide unlimited trophies? It's such a fun game mode.
