I’m making a trip on my Z 900 through Texas all the way to California and it is hot. Y’all got any tips and tricks for gear riding in the afternoon of all this heat. I’m also just strapping a big backpack on the back of my tail rigging it up. Also have some steel toe boots from my job I’m using, but I know it’s gonna be hot. Any kind of recommendations would be cool. Appreciate it.

Was asking if anybody knows any recommendations on scenic routes that are in between Waco and So Cal that are nice and not all freeway. Or even need to see places and need to ride roads.
