Trip suggestions for 1 week leaving from CO

Hey all! Taking a week to go do a “random ride”. Was kind of planning to hit SD but going the week before for a car rally 😂 so now my trip plans are really random!
Throw me ideas! I’m north of Denver on the front range of CO.

First laconia trip 2027

As the title says looking to do my first Laconia trip next year. Coming from Pittsburgh Pa. The normal quick car route runs you straight across PA and then up the coast thru major city/4 lane highways. Anyone have any other route they enjoy maybe more western/erie side?. Maybe like stopping in Niagara Falls area and running up that way? Any type of must dos or don’t would also be appreciated and any groups or communities that may steer me better in planning, please mention! Group of about 6-7 bikes looking to take maybe 1-2 days to get there with some great stops or must do routes!

August 30- september 30 Pa to Ca via route 66 and a motorcycle

Okayyyyy so my 65 year old mom is planning a motorcycle cross country trip alone as of now. From pa to California via route 66. I am extremely worried as she plans to camp and is failing at the smallest preparation tasks. I don't want to entirely discourage her but I would feel alot better if she found someone to go with her. She's posted on a couple fb pages but i don't think she's very tech savvy. Any ideas welcomed...if u have/or are a retired parent /person who's into motorcycles even better !!! Hoping to find her any companionship along the way! She loves making new friends ! .

What's the best 20 miles within two hours of where you live?

Not the famous stuff. Not the road everyone already flies across three states to ride. The 20 miles you'd actually take a visiting rider on if they showed up at your door on a Saturday with half a day to kill.

I'm in central Jersey. Mine is NY-97 along the Upper Delaware from Hawk's Nest to about Callicoon - the Hawk's Nest section gets all the photos, but the 30 miles after it, where the river opens up and the traffic disappears, is the part I actually go back for.

Post yours with the start and end point so people can actually ride it. Half the reason good roads stay unknown is that nobody ever says where they begin.

Road trip ideas

Hey everyone,

I’m taking a week off for what was intended to be a little staycation. I’m in New England (central CT) and figured I could use the time to take a long trip somewhere. Anyone got any recommendations? In open to overnights even staying in one place for a night, and then keep going.

I’d be doing this trip solo, would need everything to fit in a backpack or so since my bike doesn’t have any luggage.

Would also like to avoid highways and hit some scenic roads obviously. Open to all recommendations.

Mods, feel free to remove if I’m breaking any rules.

I produced a free site with 80+ motorcycle routes across France - come take a look (maps + GPX, no signup)

Hey riders,

I've built a little free site with around 80 motorcycle routes all over France - each one with a map, a stage-by-stage roadbook and a downloadable GPX. No account, no paywall, and it's in four languages.

Would love honest feedback: routes to add, regions I missed, anything that looks off.

Another photo from yesterday - didn't know husband was taking photos during the ride

North Fork Gales Creek Road in Oregon. It starts in Yamhill County and goes by Barney Reservoir in Washington County and then all the way to the Tillamook County Campground. Easy gravel and dirt, though some tight turns. Yesterday. Me on my KLR, husband on his vintage Africa Twin.

Still in the post ride glow...

Sunday = Rideday

A Sunday rainy ride with my Hunter 350 feels like a perfect blend of adventure and peace. The deep sound of the engine, cool rain falling on the road, and the fresh smell of wet soil make every moment special. Riding through cloudy skies and empty streets on my bike gives a feeling of freedom and happiness. The Hunter 350 isn’t just a motorcycle; it becomes a companion that turns a simple rainy day into an unforgettable memory. Every drop of rain and every kilometer of the ride adds a new story to the journey.

Trip around Michigan

Going around Michigan in mid August. Any suggestions of stopping points? We enjoy hiking, music, swimming spots but other activities are welcome as well. Thanks

The best motorcycle travel video I ever seen (not mine).

Other than the AMAZING scenery, he really hits the head on the nail about travel and motorcycles. Just wanted to share to others!

Denver to Baltimore on Speed Twin 1200?

I’m moving to Baltimore at the end of August and I’m considering driving my Triumph Speed Twin out there myself since cost to ship it would be just as much as the trip or more. My plan would be to make it there over four days, ≈6 hours per day. I’ve had a bike for 6 years and am a near daily rider, but the furthest I’ve gone on a single ride is about 3 hours. So, this would be my first road trip.

Things I’ve considered:
- The Speed Twin can be pretty fatiguing on the highway above 70 mph
- Riding across the Midwest in late August is going to be hot
- The gas mileage on my bike isn’t great
- I’ve heard it can be pretty windy on stretches and that afternoon storms are very likely

I’m wondering if there’s anything that I have a blind spot on or just general thoughts on how feasible this is. Any and all thoughts/pieces of advice are welcome and appreciated!
