Denver to Baltimore on Speed Twin 1200?

Denver to Baltimore on Speed Twin 1200?

I’m moving to Baltimore at the end of August and I’m considering driving my Triumph Speed Twin out there myself since cost to ship it would be just as much as the trip or more. My plan would be to make it there over four days, ≈6 hours per day. I’ve had a bike for 6 years and am a near daily rider, but the furthest I’ve gone on a single ride is about 3 hours. So, this would be my first road trip.

Things I’ve considered:
- The Speed Twin can be pretty fatiguing on the highway above 70 mph
- Riding across the Midwest in late August is going to be hot
- The gas mileage on my bike isn’t great
- I’ve heard it can be pretty windy on stretches and that afternoon storms are very likely

I’m wondering if there’s anything that I have a blind spot on or just general thoughts on how feasible this is. Any and all thoughts/pieces of advice are welcome and appreciated!

Peregrino Menu Less Common Than Expected?

Hey all, my partner and I are on the Camino Frances and we had heard from friends who had done a camino in the past that sticking to the peregrino menu at restaurants made things a little more affordable (or at least more bang for your buck), but we’ve come across only a handful of places that have one after 10 days on the trail…. Are we missing something? Do you have to ask if they have one if it’s not listed?
