What Etsy Witch do I have to pay to get Written in Gold on the next album? And Cloud Train for that matter.

While not my favorite GVF song, the guitar solo in Fate of the Faithful is badass, and Danny’s drumming makes it sound so tight

Do any of you think we’ll get an album announcement along with the release of “Play Your Games” or do you think it will be reminiscent of “My Way, Soon” where they didn’t announce the album for another month or two afterwards? I probably should’ve waited to ask this until after their upcoming gig to see what that consists lol, but I’m curious to hear your thoughts!

I’m curious what you guys think the NY setlist will be or what it will look like. Obviously it’s safe to assume they’ll play at least one, maybe two or three songs off of their upcoming record. But other than that, what songs do you think they will play? Or maybe they will do something crazy and play through their whole next album? I doubt it, but that would be interesting.

I find it interesting that last week they posted a bunch of little teasers of them workshopping the song in the studio but this week we’ve gotten nothing. Do you think this might indicate anything? When do you expect the song to release?

I’ve always listened either on Spotify or Apple Music so I just made this discovery

I know it probably seems like a crazy proposition, but what do you all think the chances are they’d be invited back to SNL sometime in the future?

While I don’t necessarily think it’s super likely, I do think it’s possible. I can see SNL thinking that it’s an opportunity to capitalize on their famous performance and the spark it made on the internet (whether you liked it or not).

I think it would be mutually beneficial cause, while I loved the band then and I thought they gave a good performance, I think they’ve only gotten better and would embrace that stage much more confidently and comfortably.

Again, not saying it’s going to happen, but it makes sense to me that it could very well be possible and I’d like to see it, especially considering their fan base has only grown significantly since then.

Based on how much they’ve been teasing the single over the past week, and their patterns in the past, my gut is telling me that they will release their next single on Friday, May 15th. However, my biggest reservation is that Jake’s side project (I can’t post in this sub if I say the name of the band) is releasing an EP that day. Part of me has a hard time imagining they would release a song the same day as Jake’s EP, especially considering their under the same label. The other part of me thinks there is a possibility that the label sees the dual release as an opportunity for Jake’s side project to capitalize off of Greta’s release.

This is all based on pretty much nothing but a hunch after being a GVF fan for nearly a decade. But it’s fun to guess. I think we’ll get the single by the end of the month at the latest, I hope I’m not wrong lol.

What are the odds that their next album is just self-titled “Greta Van Fleet?” It would be representative of the talk I’ve heard that their next album is going back to their roots and other whispers have suggested that it would be a double album too. I could see them using this opportunity to say “this is who we are” now that they’ve really grown into their own sound and style.

Also, the social medias have changed all of their profile pictures to the plain old Greta Van Fleet logo over a black background. And the pre-save page only shows their band logo as well, which they did not do for Starcatcher.

I’m picturing the album cover just being a black background with ‘Greta Van Fleet’ on the front in their classic font.

This is all purely a hunch and speculation but I think it’s a possibility considering a lot of bands release self-titled albums later in their career.

What do you all think? Again, it’s just fun to guess lol.
