How do you actually decide if a trading platform is legit?
Hey everyone. So I've been down this rabbit hole lately trying to figure out which platforms are actually worth using, and it's overwhelming. Every app says they have "professional tools," "fast withdrawals" and "are trusted by millions." Now how do you know it’s all true? Especially if there are a lot of random “it’s a scam” reviews from angry traders who have no idea what they are doing and lost some money. Everything is a scam to them lol
Personally, I look at:
- How long the platform’s been around - if it just popped up, I'm suspicious right away
- Membership in recognised organisations or regulation
- Real experience withdrawing. How long it takes? What docs? Any surprises?
A few months ago I opened an account with Expert Option, they’ve been around a long time and they were transparent about those things. I also tried the demo they have and liked it enough to sign up for real. Just to make sure it’s all legit I did a little trial withdrawal before committing to anything serious. It went well which was a good sign.
But I still don't fully trust any platform, you know? I think that's healthy.
What’s the first thing you look for when you evaluate a new platform?
