What was your Yasuo climbing journey like?

I’ve been playing Yasuo for a few months and recently reached Gold for the first time after playing both Yasuo and Vladimir. Since then, I’ve mostly played Yasuo. I die less often early, but I still struggle to carry consistently. I know I make plenty of mistakes, so I’m trying to learn from them instead of blaming my teammates.

I’m not giving up, though. I enjoy improving, even when I’m stuck.

For those who climbed with Yasuo: What was your journey like, and how long did it take to reach your current rank? Did you improve mostly through playing, or did you actively review replays and focus on your mistakes? When did your game knowledge start catching up with your mechanics?

I’d especially like to hear from anyone who remembers being around Gold or Plat and eventually climbing higher.

Thinking about switching to jungle and main Rengar

I've been playing League for for over a year and my main role has always been mid. I used to main Vladimir and Kassadin, and I actually got pretty close to Gold.

Then I started maining Yasuo. I really enjoy the champion, but since then I've been stuck around Silver 2–3. I also feel like I haven't really managed to get better at Yasuo despite playing him for quite a while. I keep making similar mistakes and haven't really made the progress I wanted.

Recently I've been thinking about switching to jungle and potentially maining Rengar. I've played Rengar a bit in draft and hes one of the few champs i really enjoy, but I'm not sure if switching roles/champions again is a good idea or if I'm just avoiding the problems I have with Yasuo.

I really want to climb while having a main/otp who I actually love to play. But im also unsure about switching because i dont want to waste my time with playing a new champ. At the same time, I'm not sure if switching to jungle and Rengar would actually help me improve, or if I'd just end up making the same mistakes in a different role.

I'm curious what you guys think about this. Would you personally make the switch in my situation, or would you stick with Yasuo?

I'd especially like to hear from people who have OTP'd a champion for a long time and climbed with them.

I don’t relate to this subreddit at all

I’ve noticed that I don’t really relate to a lot of the posts here.

I’m an INTP too (at least that’s the type I consistently get), but a lot of the subreddit seems to revolve around social anxiety, loneliness, pessimism, or overthinking every awkward interaction.

For example, if something embarrassing happens that was completely outside of my control, I don’t really see the point in replaying it in my head all day. It happened. I can’t change it, so why waste the energy?

Another thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of interactions people describe here feel… oddly robotic. Someone will post about a person flirting with them, and instead of just going with the moment, the replies are things like “What is the probability they’re actually flirting?” or they respond in the most analytical, AI-like way imaginable. Sometimes it feels like people are trying so hard to act like the “stereotypical INTP” that they forget to just be human.

It makes me wonder whether this subreddit actually represents INTPs as a whole, or if it’s mostly a place where INTPs who are struggling or who identify strongly with the online stereotype tend to gather.

Hardstuck Silver Yasuo player - I feel like I’m not improving. Any advice?

I’ve been hardstuck in Silver for a long time, and I’ve been maining Yasuo for the past few months. I really want to improve, but it feels like I’m either improving extremely slowly or not at all.

Most of my losses happen in the early game. I either get punished by jungle ganks or lose lane against champions like Akali, Ekko, and other difficult matchups. For example, I honestly don’t think I’ve ever beaten an Akali in lane.

I’ve been trying to improve the “right” way. I watch my own replays after games, watch educational Yasuo videos, and actively think about my mistakes. But despite all of that, I still don’t see much progress.

I’m starting to wonder if I’m practicing the wrong things or focusing on the wrong aspects of the game.

For those of you who climbed with Yasuo (or improved at League in general), what helped you improve the most? What should I focus on first? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
