Got the little fish basket, still no fish

Got the little fish basket, still no fish

I got this little fish basket from a Hermès petit h blind box.

Now I’ve got the fish basket, but still no fish,

so I guess it’s time to go catch some.

Maybe a safe choice, but I kind of like it

I went with brown and a soft off-white combo this time, with visible stitching and a brushed metal hardware finish that’s only available on certain orders.

I also picked a slightly longer strap than the standard version, which makes it feel a bit different when worn.

At first I thought I might have overthought the choices, like it was a “safe” configuration rather than an exciting one.

But seeing it together, it feels very easy to match and almost effortless in daily use.

This Feels More Like A Canvas Than A Dial

Most dials are designed to tell time.

This one feels designed to be looked at.

The hands almost feel secondary.

The artwork does most of the talking.

Colorful watch details caught my attention more than I expected

Saw this colorful watch recently and couldn't stop looking at the details.

Usually I lean toward simpler designs, but something about the mix of colors and shapes makes this one interesting to look at from different angles. The dark strap also keeps it from feeling too busy.

Not sure if I'd wear something like this every day, but it's definitely memorable.

Do you prefer colorful watches, or do you usually stick with more neutral designs?

Not Buying It Felt Like Saving Money... Right?

Saw it.

Tried it on.

Started doing mental math.

Then walked away.

Technically, I saved a lot of money today.

At least that's what I'm telling myself.

Some watches aren't for telling time… they're for testing your self-control

I already knew this one would look good before trying it on.

What I didn't expect was how quickly it would get into my head.

The plan was simple: try it on, take a photo, leave.

Instead, I spent the next ten minutes staring at my wrist and doing mental math I definitely shouldn't have been doing.

Not today.

But I have a feeling this isn't the last time we'll see each other.

Went in wanting the diamond pink one… still ended up liking this

Originally wanted the pink dial with diamonds, but there wasn’t one available.

Tried this simpler version on anyway and honestly… it’s kinda cute on wrist.

The soft pink tone makes it feel really clean and easy to wear without trying too hard.

Now i’m stuck between waiting patiently or just pretending this was the plan all along.

Graduation gift dilemma solved: went with the AP perpetual calendar

I was stuck deciding between an AP and a PP for my graduation gift, but in the end, I went with the AP perpetual calendar. Honestly, it’s heavier than I expected, but the feel is just incredible. The boutique service was top-notch too. Anyone else spend hours comparing two pieces and just go with the one that feels right in hand?

I Went to Help a Friend and Ended Up Crossing Off My Own Wish List

I’d been looking for a small gold watch for years.

Nothing felt quite right until I spotted this one in an auction catalog while helping a friend inspect another piece.

The square case fit my wrist perfectly. The hand-textured woven bracelet feels like jewelry, and the four diamond markers add just enough sparkle.

Gold and diamonds—simple, classic, and quietly luxurious.

I went there for someone else.

I came home with my first little gold watch and my first piece from this maison.

Proof that sometimes the best finds are the ones you weren’t looking for that day.
