Even the SA offered me coffee first?

Even the SA offered me coffee first?

I went to the boutique last week, and the vibe felt different.

The SA, who is usually pretty reserved, actually offered me coffee first and casually mentioned that fewer people have been asking about bags lately.

I was a little surprised, because it used to feel like I had to be careful when asking, but this time they seemed more welcoming.

Maybe I just went during a slow period, or maybe people are really not as obsessed as before.

Have you noticed this too? Are SAs becoming warmer lately?

Would love your first impression on this green constance

I just received photos of this green Constance, and the color definitely caught my eye.

I don’t usually look at this kind of glossy textured style, so I’m trying not to let the color affect my judgment too much. From what I can see, the front proportions and overall lines look pretty balanced, and the buckle placement doesn’t look distracting at first glance.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the flap curve, side profile, texture placement, and overall proportions. What’s your first impression of this one?

Thank you!

Beautiful, but I’m already worried about tarnishing

This 925 silver mini bag is honestly so special. It feels less like a bag and more like a piece of jewelry you can carry.

But my first thought wasn’t even about what it can fit — it was whether all these cutouts and chains would be impossible to clean once the silver starts tarnishing.

Would you still go for something this pretty even if it’s high-maintenance?

Got the little fish basket, still no fish

I got this little fish basket from a Hermès petit h blind box.

Now I’ve got the fish basket, but still no fish,

so I guess it’s time to go catch some.

My 5-year-old Lindy only gets better with use

My first H bag was this Lindy 30 in B5 Rouge Grenat, and I’ve had it for five years now.

The TC leather has become softer with use, and the bag no longer feels stiff or too proper. It has turned into one of the easiest bags for me to carry.

A lot of people say the Lindy isn’t pretty, but I’ve always liked how carefree it feels.

I recently added an insert, so the inside is finally more organized without making the bag too rigid.Five years later, it’s still one of the bags I reach for often.

Maybe I’m getting older, but I love this kind of simple bag

Maybe I’m getting older, but lately I love watching people cook, arrange flowers, do farm work, or just spend time around mountains and water.

That’s probably why I’m so into the Steeple series. It has this simple, natural feeling that really speaks to me.

These are my two favorite bags this year

These are probably my two favorite bag purchases this year.

I already liked the bags themselves, but after adding the little dolls, they felt completely like my style.

One is a little cooler, and the other is a little sweeter, but I love both.

My coworker called my ostrich bucket bag ugly, and it actually hurt

I got this avocado green ostrich bucket bag a while ago.

I personally really like the color. I sometimes carry it to work. But today, when I walked past the pantry, I overheard my coworkers talking about it. They said the bag was ugly and that they didn’t understand my taste.

Honestly, it hurt a little hearing that.

I know ostrich leather isn’t for everyone, and the little dots are definitely noticeable, but is it really that hard to accept?

This is only a small corner of the collection

I’ve been collecting H for quite a few years without even realizing it.

I’ve slowed down a lot these past two years, but a few years ago I used to check in all the time. Some bags were all I could think about before getting them, but once they finally came home, the obsession sometimes faded faster than I expected.

That being said, the collecting process itself has been really enjoyable. Slowly finding the colors, leathers, and styles I actually like gives me a strange kind of satisfaction.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that being direct with your SA usually makes things easier. Saying clearly what you like, what you don’t like, your budget, and what you’re actually looking for saves a lot of time. When the relationship feels comfortable, both sides have an easier time.

What’s in this cabinet is only part of it.

I used to think getting the bag I wanted would be the final satisfaction, but now I feel like the addictive part is not one specific bag. It’s the process of slowly collecting your own taste over time.

For those who have been collecting for a while, do you enjoy the process more now, or did you eventually reach a point where you felt like you had enough?

Help QC - Mini Kelly 19 in 3I Avocado Green Chevre Leather

I think this one looks pretty good to me, but I’m definitely not an expert here.

This is a Mini Kelly 19 in 3I avocado green Chevre leather. I really like the color, but I’d love a second opinion before I decide.

Any obvious callouts on the shape, handle, stitching, or hardware placement?

B30 in gris etain and watermelon red from BoBo

If everything goes smoothly, this might be one of the B30s I’m most excited about recently.

This is a Birkin 30cm in Epsom leather, Gris Etain with watermelon red contrast, gold hardware, and waxed stitching, from BoBo. This isn’t a color combination I usually see often, but it caught my attention right away. The red on the edges and handles doesn’t make it feel too loud, but it definitely makes it more interesting than a regular grey bag.

I like it so far, but I’d love to hear what you think of this color combo. Any obvious callouts on the shape, handles, hardware, or overall proportions?

PSPs QC for K28 — from Ben

Hi everyone, I just got the PSPs for this K28 from Ben and would really appreciate a second opinion.

This is my first ostrich Kelly, so I’m still learning what to look for with the pore pattern. Overall the shape and handle look good to me, and I really like the Mauve Pale with gold hardware.

The one thing I’m unsure about is the front panel — does the pore distribution look natural and even enough to you? Anything else worth checking before I confirm?

This H add-on horse honestly left me speechless

This horse is probably one of the strangest H add-ons I’ve ever seen.

To be honest, I thought it was ugly at first.

The neck looks a little odd, the face is kind of blank, and sitting on top of all the orange boxes, it almost looks like a random prop that wandered into the photo.

But here’s the problem. If this wasn’t from H, I probably wouldn’t even look at it twice. But since it is an add-on, and the quality is actually not bad, I somehow started finding it ugly-cute after staring at it for too long.

Now I’m conflicted.Do we actually like these things, or do we automatically give them a filter just because they’re from H?

Which pair of H slides should I choose?

I tried two pairs of H slides recently, and I still feel like the classic style is the easiest to wear.

The white pair feels fresh and works well with both dresses and pants. The brown pair has slimmer straps and looks a bit more delicate on the feet.

I tried the pricier leather version this time, and I can definitely feel the difference. They feel softer and less stiff when walking.

Which pair should I choose? I’m really torn.

Five popular Hermès pink shades compare

When these five shades are placed side by side, the differences become much easier to see:

3Q Rose Sakura: pale sakura pink

M7 Rose Darling: a softer pink tone

09 Mauve Pale: light greyish mauve

X9 Mauve Sylvestre: stronger purple undertone

5P Bubblegum Pink: brighter and more saturated

The same color code can also look different on different leathers. Togo, TC, Swift, Epsom, and exotic leathers all reflect color differently because of their texture and finish.

So when comparing color charts, it helps to look at both the shade and the leather.

The more l look at this canvas B25, the more l like it

When I first saw the photos, I wasn’t immediately sold.

I usually look at full leather bags more often, so this Swift leather and canvas B25 feels a little different to me. At first, I was worried it might look too casual and lose some of the sharpness I usually like in a B25.

But the more I look at it, the more comfortable it feels. The canvas doesn’t look as busy as I expected, and it has a very different mood from a full leather bag. It feels a little less formal, but also more relaxed.

Overall, I do like it so far, but I’d love to hear what you think of this combination.

Water damaged Kelly.

I have a vintage Kelly. It’s water damaged and been collecting dust. Is it even worth to resell it?
