Fender flaires, what do you use?

Fender flaires, what do you use?

Hey. I just got my first YJ. And my fender flaires are painted in the same color as the body. White.

One of them has a big gash in it, and so needs replacing. The seller actually had the spare fender flaire for the one with the gash, so i won't need to buy a replacement myself. Thats great. But it's black plastic. Which will need to be painted.. and the other ones, also have small chips and cracking in the paint, so should also be repainted or something.

However, i quite like the black contrasting fender flaires on a white Jeep. So I want to make them black. I plan on taking them off, to remove the white paint. Not sure the best method for this...

And then i guess the best way is to paint them all the same shade of matte black? But I thought, maybe just maybe I could paint them with a bedliner spray or something? Will that look ugly? I just thought i stead of the bare black plastic that fades over time, it needs some sort of paint or other coating on it. And would bedliner work? In my mind it would give some level of protection from rock chips and such, compared to regular paint. Maybe...

Any ideas? Also, should the sidestep be the same color as the flaires? Mine is currently white, but with a black step protector installed. But would it maybe look better and more cohesive with the whole sidestep being black too?

Music is a trigger for me, anyone else?

I have suffered with PVC's most of my life. I know that too much caffeine, bad sleep over time and stress will trigger them to get worse or more frequent.

But my number one trigger is music. I can lie down in bed and be completely relaxed, but as soon as i put on headset and start listening to some good music they come on strong 😆or when driving with loud music 😅

Is it due to adrenaline from the music? I have a very vivid imagination, and always get really amped up from music. I will picture scenes or even think up music videos for the song im listening to.

Does anyone else experience this?

How sacrilegious would it be?

Just bought this 88 YJ. It's completely stock. Hard top has never even come off. Its a Laredo.

But i really want to make it into an Islander.

How bad is it to do so?

Not really going to change much on it tbh. Just putting on a grey soft top instead of the hard top. And it will get new rims and tyres ofc.

And the islander decals and stuff....

I prefer not spare wheel cover, it looks cooler with it exposed imo.

Where i live (northern Europe) there were no islanders. They just never sold them over here.. so if there are any they were imported from the US. I have never seen one...

So how cooked am I ? Will Jeep purists get their panties in a twist? 😅

Soap dish to keep the soap in?

What do people use to keep a bar og soap that is in use? I have been using liquid hand and body soap for so many years... But i want to start using the soaps i make at home. I just don't know where to put them ...

On my bathroom counter/sink there is a built in place for the soap next to the tap. But its shaped funny, and i also don't think it would look nice at all...

So please help me with any pictures or suggestions of soap dishes 🥰
