Engineer - Tech / 7 YOE
Had no one to share this with, so I figured sharing it with you guys instead.
I still can't believe how far I've come. It took a lot of hard work and a bit of luck.
I started out as a dip holder in 2019 as a Desktop Support Engineer and decided to pursue a part-time local uni degree, and gradually worked my way up. After graduating, I job hopped and eventually landed a Tech role in stat board.
My base salary has grown over the years if you curious.
2019: $2,400
2022: $3,200
2024: $4,600 (first job hop)
2025: $6,200 (second job hop after graduating)
If you're currently grinding through part-time studies, keep going and believe in yourself!
