Staying in Jesmond for a few days in September and looking for recommendations for indulgent and good places to go for breakfast and big lunches / dinners. Bonus points if you know anywhere that doesn’t have nuts on the premises owing to wife’s allergy. Thank you.

People employed in UK domiciliary care, what software do you actually recommend for a provider?

I'm helping a customer choose software for a UK domiciliary care business.

We've already looked at some of the better-known systems (Birdie, PASS by everyLIFE, CarePlanner and Access Care Planning), but it's difficult to tell how they compare from demos and marketing material.

The business needs a system for scheduling/rostering, client records, care plans, medication, and carers accessing everything from their smartphones while out on visits.

I'd be really grateful to hear from people who use these systems day to day. Which software do you use, what do you like or dislike about it, and if you were choosing again today, would you pick the same system?

Saw and bought this cheese in our local Polish / European food shop and I don't know what it's called (would be useful for finding suitable recipes for it). Shop is run by Turks, so may well be from there. Lighting makes it look purple, but it's similar colour to Feta.

Hello, we’re staying in your lovely city later in the year and would like some recommendations for a really nice Chinese restaurant BUT which will confidently be safe for my Mrs who has a proper bad nut (ground and tree) allergy. Thank you

I’m sat having a pint on the common next to the pub and there’s a local couple with an elegant Spanish gentleman. They’re chatting about paella and other dishes, he seems to really like cooking. They’re all eating chips with a wooden spork and it makes me very happy.
