Dr. Jeffrey Greenfield

After years of being dismissed my neurologists, I finally have an appointment with Dr. Jeffrey Greenfield in November. If he is agreeing to see me does that mean I most likely will get a Chiari diagnosis?

AITA - MIL issues

Wondering if I’m in the wrong here. We are planning our son’s baptism for November. When we had our first son, we chose my one sister as the godmother and we decided we would have my other sister be the godmother for our second child. My mother-in-law made a comment today that my sister-in-law (husband’s sister) will be hurt if she’s not chosen as the godmother. I’m really upset because it’s not her decision and it’s our decision and just because I’m not picking her as the godmother doesn’t mean we don’t value her relationship with our son. I don’t know what to do. I’m a people pleaser so it’s really hard to know I’m potentially hurting someone. FYI, we’re Catholic so we can only have one godmother and one godfather. We cannot have two godmothers.

Does this look like Chiari?

Does this look like Chiari? My report said only 4 mm descent. My neuro says this is NOT causing my dizziness.

Should i get a second opinion?

My neurologist said my dizziness and tingling is not caused by the low lying tonsils (4mm below foremen magnum). Should I get a second opinion?

Does this look like Chiari?

I only have the disc for my cervical MRI they forgot to give me the brain one. Could this possibly be Chiari? Report said 4mm and low lying cerebral tonsils. Have dizziness and tingling for years.

Does this mean no Chiari?

Impression

  1. No acute intracranial abnormality, pathologic enhancement or confluent brain parenchymal disease.
  2. Low-lying cerebellar tonsils projecting 4 mm below foramen magnum.

MRI

I have my MRI scheduled next week. I’m getting a brain MRI and a cervical spine MRI. Will I be completely inside the MRI machine? Or will some of me be outside? I’m so claustrophobic.

Could radiologist have missed this?

My MRI report said- The tips of the cerebellar tonsils are at the level of the foramen magnum”

On my MRI it looks like it is a little below to me. Could the radiologist have missed it? Can anyone let me know their thoughts?

Does this look like possible Chiari Malformation? This is my MRI from a few years ago and I’m getting another in a few weeks.
