Biomes: Radioactive

Obviously this has 2 bytebeats. The storm section (link in the end credits), and the slower outer parts. If anyone wants a slightly simplified version of the slower part let me know. (Minus the vocal effects!)

No Man's Sky in-game sound effects collection

Found this old Reddit post from user Paradox_81 who has collected all the synthesised spoken info and warning sounds (e.g. 'warning', 'shield down', 'missile inbound', 'extreme heat damage detected', 'life support critical', etc.).

The sounds are available as ogg and mp3s and are all 'clean'. Thought some of you might find them useful in your tunes.

The link you need is the second one in the thread

Good job Paradox_81!

Biomes: Waterworlds

This is the second in the 'Biomes' series (desert was the first). I posted this tune sometime ago as 'Beneath the waves', but decided here to give it the cinematic treatment.

Forest Glade (remix)

Sorry, no address for this one. This is because the noise boxes cannot be tuned without rewiring them from the floor switches, and this needs building rights of the base which, as a visitor, you won't have.

But if you want to make your own, I can give you detailed instructions.

'Making Better Bytebeats'. How to save and transfer any bytebeat tune in NMS.

If you have any questions just let me know (not everything can fit in a 10min video). If you would like more tutorials, again let me know - no promises!

Bytebeat bug/error - can others confirm?

I have just recently noticed that the game music aggressively reappears when there is the slightest lull in the playback of your bytebeat. Now previously, this has always happened when listening externally as it were.

What's different now is that it's happening even when you are in bytebeat looking at one of the tabs. Previously, being in bytebeat meant everything bar your music was completely muted. Just to be clear, this isn't SFX but the game music reappearing.

Try it out - just make an intermittent sound - say some sparse bass notes - and listen in the synchroniser tab. The game music will initially disappear but then come back. And this time it will play during your music too - spoiling it and making clean recordings impossible. (I've just listened to a bassline I wrote being intermittently 'accompanied' by the game disco music in the saloon!).

This happens outside and in, and in the saloon. It also happens with or without any mods.

Can others confirm or deny this before i send off another report to the Zendesk?

Thanks.

Slurred

This is for those travellers out there who maybe want to make a bytebeat tune but think it's too complicated.

As someone who's made more than their fair share of complex tunes(!) this one is about as simple as you can get. Every bytebeat device is in the same tempo and key. But perhaps more surprisingly 7 out of the 8 devices use the same waveform. No complex waveform trees.

So why not give it go. Start with a simple idea and see where your creativity takes you.

I'm looking for a great desert planet to feature in a video for my next song.

I'm looking for a cool desert planet (think Arrakis or Tatooine) to feature in a video with appropriate original bytebeat desert music (already completed). Accessible galaxies best.

A good looking desert base or settlement would be nice but maybe not essential. Great vistas and sunrises/sets a must. Worms would be a bonus.

I don't have time to make a good desert base myself but if you have one (or are prepared to make one) and want it featured, and fully credited, with my music in a video (to be posted here), let me know in the comments or message me.
