What camera operations should I learn next?

Hi everyone,

I'm teaching myself photography and trying to build a logical technical foundation. I want to make sure my learning sequence for camera operations makes sense.

Here is what I have learned so far:
- Shooting Modes: I know the differences between PASM (Program, Aperture/Shutter Priority, Manual).
- Metering Modes: I understand how they function.
- The Exposure Triangle: I know what Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO do in theory, though I haven't completely mastered applying them fluidly yet.
- Histograms: I know how to read them to check my exposure.

My question is: What is the correct learning sequence from here?
What specific camera operations should I tackle next? Should I be looking into autofocus modes, focus areas, white balance, or something else entirely?

(Optional: I shoot with a Ricoh GR IIIx, if that changes any recommendations.)

I'd appreciate any advice on the best step-by-step order to learn the technical side of the camera. Thanks!

Which one is better?

I shoot with a Ricoh GR IIIx, and given its focal length, the natural bokeh isn't very pronounced. I recently tried adding some background blur in Photoshop, but looking back at the results, it just feels too artificial and fake to me.

Should I explore other methods/software to achieve a more natural-looking blur, or is it better to just embrace the deep depth of field and keep the background sharp? Would love to hear your thoughts.
