[Shoutout] Incredible Resolution with TMF & Mod Shoddy88 on a Factory Defect Pair (LJR Undefeated 4s)

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a quick "short story" about a recent experience I had with a factory defect on a worn pair, how it was handled, and why keeping your cool and having solid proof matters in this community.

  1. The Issue: Unexpected Glue Bleeding
A couple of months ago, I picked up a pair of LJR batch Undefeated Jordan 4s from TMF. Out of the box and in the QC pictures, they looked absolutely flawless. However, after wearing them exactly twice, the factory glue around the midsole started aggressively bleeding and seeping out.
It was a total catch-22 situation: there was no way for me to know the glue wasn't properly cured until I actually put them on and walked around, but in the rep game, getting a replacement after wearing a shoe outside is notoriously difficult.

  2. The Initial Hurdle & Mod Advice
I reached out to one of our mods, Shoddy88, to get some guidance on how to navigate this. He initially pointed out a very fair reality in the community: once a shoe hits the pavement, it becomes an immediate gray area. Sellers rarely offer full refunds or replacements because it’s incredibly hard to prove a factory defect versus regular wear-and-tear or user damage.
At first, TMF offered a standard $5 courtesy discount and a small gift for a future order. While a nice gesture, it didn't really cover a $120+ USD pair that was unwearable after two days.

  3. How We Proved the Defect
Instead of spamming or getting aggressive, I made sure to gather undeniable evidence:
I took high-quality, clear photos of the bleeding glue.
I grabbed my original, pristine QC photos from the sub to show a direct side-by-side comparison.
The photos clearly showed zero heel drag, zero dirty midsoles, and zero heavy creasing—proving the shoes were practically brand new outside of the seeping glue.

  4. The Resolution: TMF’s Boss Steps Up
Shoddy88 backed me up behind the scenes and chatted with the seller. Because I’ve been a loyal customer of TMF and presented a respectful, factual case, TMF's factory boss personally reviewed the photos.
Once the boss saw the condition of the shoe compared to the bleeding, they agreed it was a clear factory defect and authorized a completely free replacement pair. TMF even applied my existing order credits directly to the shipping fee, meaning a fresh batch is heading my way for next to nothing.
    Takeaways for the Community
Document Everything: Always save your QC pictures. If a weird flaw happens later, you need that "before and after" proof to show you didn't just beat the shoes up.
Be Respectful: Don't panic-spam mods or sellers. Presenting a clean, polite case gets you infinitely further than getting angry.
Shoutout to the Team: Huge thanks to Shoddy88 for helping guide the situation and to TMF and his team for proving why they are trusted sellers who actually care about their buyers.
Has anyone else ever dealt with glue bleeding on recent LJR batches, or did I just catch a rare bad apple? Let me know!

💡 Pro-Tip for when you post:
Make sure to attach a few images to the Reddit post:

  1. One of your original clean QC pictures.
  2. The photo showing the glue bleeding on the midsole.
  3. A screenshot of TMF saying his boss agreed to the new pair so people can see the proof!

But no massive shout out to everybody in the community for helping me with this flaw and if you guys have any concerns or questions, definitely feel free to message me and I will definitely try to help you guys as much as I can with possibly getting this stain out if you guys ever do have this problem thank you guys again and I love you all and I hope y’all have an amazing rest of your year

Is this normal for LJR Batch? Heavy liquid/glue bleeding in the heat after wearing (Canada)

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to figure out if this is a known issue with the LJR batch or if I just got hit with a bad pair. This is the second time this exact situation has happened and it’s getting incredibly frustrating.
Batch: LJR
Location/Weather: Canada (Manitoba) — it's been getting decently hot here lately.
Wear Time: About 1 to 2 hours of normal walking (just went to the mall).
The Issue:
While I am actually out walking, the shoes look completely fine, dry, and perfect. But the exact second I get back home, take them off, and set them down, this massive dark saturation/bleed completely takes over the lower heel panel right above the midsole line.
It feels slightly damp/caked into the material. It seems like the internal factory glue or some type of compound is liquefying from my foot warmth/friction in the heat, and then wicking straight up into the nubuck the moment the shoe sits statically and cools down.
Questions for the community:

  1. Has anyone else experienced this specific bleeding issue with LJR batch in hot weather?
  2. Is this a common factory flaw with the adhesives they use for this batch?
  3. If you’ve successfully stopped or fixed this from happening every single time you wear them out, what did you do?

I need help with mink oil brush directions

Hello guys so I ordered some mink oil cause if you look on the fourth and fifth picture the texture got a little bit rough enough when I was brushing the nap and I’m just wondering since I’m going to be spraying a little bit of mink oil on my medium bristle brush and going in One Direction. I guess I’m just wondering if the directions that I have shown in the arrows for just going straight over the panels if that will even know everything and I guess give it a little bit more of its texture back

Review for tropical pink Travis Scott low from TMF

Hey everyone, back with an in-hand review of the Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low "Tropical Pink" pair. I know there's a lot of debate around batches for Travis lows right now—especially with RSD being hyped up as the top tier—but I wanted to see how LJR stacked up. Spoiler: it’s absolutely fire.

Pros & Cons of LJR Batch
Pros:
Premium Materials: The nubuck has great texture and movement right out of the box, and the white leather panels have a really clean, premium tumble to them.
Swoosh Placement & Cuts: The reverse lateral swooshes are completely uniform, sharp, and perfectly positioned.
Heel Embroidery: The Cactus Jack face and Air Jordan Wings logos are high-density stitching with no messy connecting threads.
Midsole/Outsole Color: The cream/sail tint on the midsole is spot on (not overly yellowed like budget batches) and matches the pink outsole brilliantly.

Cons / Batch Notes:
RSD Comparison: While RSD is widely considered the absolute gold standard for Travis Scott silhouettes due to micro-details and specific shape accuracy, LJR is an incredible alternative that completely holds its own for a great price.
Laces: The factory laces come heavily waxed, which is standard for Travis pairs, though I'll be swapping mine out for a softer matte sail cotton set to match the midsole.

Final Verdict
For $106 USD shipped from TMF, you really cannot go wrong with LJR on these. If you are on the fence between waiting/paying more for RSD or grabbing LJR, don't sleep on LJR. The quality is tier-one on foot, and nobody is calling you out. Shoutout to TMF for the seamless ordering process and fast shipping!

7EE LJR B grade QC for off-white Jordan one Chicago

Let me know how these are looking guys for the B grade. There is a few concerns I do have because that little black stuff looks like it can just easily come off, but if you look on image. Five on the left shoe, you can see a little bit of a scuff and I’m not sure if that’s gonna be very noticeable in real life or not but other than that let me know if these are gl or rl

TMF LJR B grade reverse Travis Scott mocha review

Price: 80$ usd shipped

Shipping time: took a little under two weeks to get to Canada and about another week after to finally get in my hands so in total about three weeks

Pros: since these are LJR you already know that you’re getting the best quality and the most accurate shape compared to retail and everything like that

Cons: for cons I would definitely say since this is a B grade. It is very hit or miss on how your QC will be going and you also can’t exchange once you actually do get them in hand for example. If you will give us a second picture, you can see mine has a little gash or indent not a very big deal cause it’s not very noticeable on foot, but still something to be weary about

Final thoughts: honestly for these being 80 USD and being a B grade, I would definitely recommend grabbing a pair of these and just hoping you get very lucky with the QC because honestly these are amazing LJR are killed it as always.

Price: 120 usd shipped to Canada via Canada post

Shipping time: ordered on 17 April received my pair t may 7 about 20 days and QC took about three days

Pros: the materials the shape and the general comfort are pretty good on GX pairs. This would be my third pair of these exact shoes from GX and every single pair I’ve had they’ve killed it every single time I’ve had no bad quality control on them. they’re very comfortable and I don’t have to worry about my feet cramping like other batches.

Cons: for cons it really just comes down to like what you can live with. I personally for older releases like GX a little bit more than LJR but I also know LJR has been killing it recently, so I wouldn’t doubt that the batch that they have of these would be absolutely killer as well, so it just really comes down to a personal preference thing. Do you really want the more accurate shape or closer retail materials?

Final thoughts: for 120 these are honestly not too bad GX has never really let me down and especially with this particular model of Jordan four has always been consistent. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a pair of decent priced. Breds to definitely grab these. I also did throw in a picture side-by-side of the different shape from the 2019 silhouette to the 2025 with the undefeated fours if anybody is interested in that as well if you guys have any questions, please don’t feel scared to comment and I will do my best to reply to you as fast as I can answering your question

Shipping time: ordered on the 16th last month took about two weeks to actually get in my hands so overall two weeks for shipping to Canada is not bad

Overall quality: i’m honestly really impressed overall with the quality of the LJR batch don’t know why I’m surprised specially considering how these are king but from doing an in hand, QC check everything checks out back tab height to cage shape to overall just material materials used. I am very impressed.

Pros: the biggest pro that I could probably mention is the fact on how close these are to retail in the sense of the hype is not just people saying that this is the best batch for no reason in my opinion especially nowadays true LJR are just kills in general

Cons: I would say the biggest con would probably be price. It was about $210 Canadian, but for the quality that you’re getting and the fact that you’re paying pretty much retail for a amazing quality shoe I think it’s a pretty fair trade-off I would say GX might be a little bit better when it comes to shape wise maybe but even then it’s something that you probably are not gonna be able to tell on foot

Overall, thoughts: my final thoughts on this pair I am very impressed from the last pair that I picked up. I would say LJR has done nothing but improve. Their materials their shape everything I am very impressed if you’re in the market for any sort of current date, Jordan fours I would definitely recommend the LJR batch because these are very comfortable and honestly one of the best quality suede shoes I’ve had in a very long time

If you guys have any questions, please feel free to hit me up
