HE GOT LIFE!!!!

HE GOT LIFE!!!!

Time to dive right into Hell's Kitchen and beat up a Mayor, Hawkeye without the bow, Red Sonja, and everyone else as a blind Saul Goodman. I am super excited for this as the Hell's Kitchen heroes are soke of my favorite ones in the Marvel Universe.

Also, please support your LGS! I got this expansion on a discount from my LGS, which was absolutely amazing of them.

Curious about Slay the Spire

I understand their recent kickstarter Downfall had launched and I missed out on that (Though there is a gamefound late pledge up)

I have been on the fence on Slay the Spire as I have one too many games already and a good handful coming out soon, but I wanted to know how StS is for solo.

My Holy Grail

Shoutout to the wonderful person on Facebook Marketplace who provided me this amazing deal on Cap, Strange, and War Machine. These are three heroes I have been long anticipating and now I finally have them and I cannot wait to play them.

That being said, I would like to know your favorite builds for these heroes and I'll be able to check them out.

Ashes Rise of the Phoenixborn! But need the upgrade!

So I managed to get myself a copy of Ashes Rise of the Phoenixborn and what appears to be all the up-to-date expansions, but apparently Ashes Reborn is the game that has solo mode. Which is why I want to know if there is any place that is selling the Ashes Reborn 1.5 Upgrade Kit. It has everything I need to update the collection I just got, but it seems to be sold out everywhere. Currently on PlaidHat Games, it says "Out of Stock", so I am hoping it isn't out of print. Wanted to know if anyone knew of a place I can nab the upgrade kit from.

Best Solo Replayable Games?

For a while, Marvel Champions has been the one game that has been spending most of the time on my table, with the occasional Unstoppable being tossed in there. I want to expand my library, get some more games on the table with some nice variety.

Currently I'm looking for anything in the following categories:

- Deck Building

- Deck Construction

- Replayability

- Somewhat manageable setup and teardown

- Of course, Solo enjoyment

Games do not have to encompass all of these categories at once, but I would love some reccomendations based on said categories

Edit: You don't have to comment only deckbuilding or seck construction fames. Any other games that have some replayability and are great for solo can be reccomended!

Casette Case Storage for sale!

I'm planning on shifting my Marvel Champions hero storage elsewhere, so I am wanting to sell my entire casette tape storage. Note this does not include the heroes, just the casette tape cases and the inserts for the heroes. This includes 66 empty pinless casette tapes (Had to shave down some inner parts to fit sleeved cards) and two casette tape storage cases that hold 48 casette cases each.

I'll sell all of this for $50. Shipping from 77477 using Pirateship, buyer pays shipping. Dm me for any questions

Stonesaga or Machina Arcana 3rd Edition?

I'm gonna be trading in some games and this one person offered to trade in either Stonesaga or Machina Arcana 3rd Edition with the two 3rd Edition Expansions.

Wondering which of these two is better for solo play. I'm looking for somewhat decent replayability and best compatibility solo. Themes dont matter much to me, I like to broaden my horizons a bit.

Behold, The Halo 2 Beam Rifle Build

I tried out Bishop and found this build that had 25 resource cards with Bishop's resource cards included. The moment I put down Bishop's Uniform and Rifle was the moment the Villain was locked inside of the room with me instead of the other way around. I was effectively taking damage, healing it back because Bishop's passive let me discard cards and get back resource cards since over half my deck was filled with them and with said resource cards, I used Bishop's Suit for maximum healing. I then used Bishop's Rifle to practically snipe the enemy for some big points of damage (Most damage I did was 9, though clearly with enough luck that number can be pushed further)

Only downside was that I was not necessarily using most of Bishop's other cards. Only ally I was playing was Lockjaw, since he can be played from discard and I just kept bringing him back since I had an abundance of resource cards. Effectively, I was both the tank and the damage for this fight and I felt that even on Expert, this fight felt absolutely trivial.

As far as thwarting goes, I did not have much opportunity to play any thwarting cards, so I relied primarily on Lockjaw and Bishop's basic thwarts whenever I could. But everything else was covered. Overall, very fun build and I enjoyed being somewhat overpowered this way.

After having recieved the final big box expansion that I needed, which was Mutant Genesis, I thought I'd share my storage solution for my Marvel Champions collection. The storage consists of the base game box, an expansion box, a 48-casette storage case, two 3-row BCW card boxes, and a 3-row trading card box.

The expansion box holds my Spindown D20s for player health and D10s for enemy health as well as card holders for the enemy and side schemes. In the black drawstring pouch are assorted dice I use for counters and tokens specific to heroes and villains.

I store all of my heroes in postless casette cases I got off of a website called Duplication. I found a casette storage print-out online and used that on the cases to label my heroes. Any extra heroes I placed in my card box since this casette storage case only holds 48.

The three-row card boxes are for my aspect cards and villain decks. I use Tesseract dividers for my aspect cards, and the extra deck boxes hold card sleeves and hero cards such as Iceman's frostbite cards and Hercules' labor and gift cards which do not fit in the casette cases. The aspect cards are sleeved in Gamegenic Matte Sleeves.

The villains are packed individually in burger token boxes. I primarily use 22, 15, and 30 sleeved boxes with a 43 sleeved box for Kang. Each villan set is divided by release date of expansion and I keep the scenario packs at the end. I use vertical DividersCentral dividers to label each villain. I print them onto 110 lb cardstock and glue that to another piece of cardstock before sleeving them into clear sleeves (7 wonders sleeves fit perfectly). The extra burger token boxes hold extra Gamegenic Matte Sleeves.

The smaller 3-row card box holds all of the encounter cards. The campaign cards are kept at the end and I kept some excess heroes. All of these cards as well as the villain decks are sleeved in Sleeve Kings sleeves, with the villain stage cards, main scheme cards, and any permanent setup cards sleeved in Gamegenic Clear Sleeves (Lots of different sleeves, I know 😅)

Finally, The base box holds all the rulebooks for every expansion, scenario pack, and the base game rules. I have two storage boxes that contain a mix of DeluxyGaming 3d-printed tokens and Burger peanuts tokens. I also have the oversized flip-open cards (Angel, Ant-Man, Wasp, Apocalypse) in oversized top loaders and sleeved in perfect fit side-loaders.

I do not take Marvel Champions with me for travel, so this for me is the best way to store everything I have. This stores all the content for Marvel Champions, save for Spider-Ham, War Machine, Doctor Strange, Captain America, all of the wave 6 mutant heroes, and Mojo Mania.

So I decided to trade my copy of Frosthaven for Etherfields with 3 expansions. Wanted to know from any people who have played Etherfields with friends or have played it solo how they enjoyed or not liked this game. This will be my 4th Awaken Realms game I have played since Vanguard, Tainted Grail, and Grimcoven. I personally am looking forward to this as I love the sort of grim-dark theme it gives off. But I would love to hear anyone else's experience of it
