Help: A new coworker (32F) expects me (24M) to commute with her every day, and it’s getting uncomfortable.

Hey everyone, need some advice on a weird workplace/commute situation.

A new employee (32F) recently joined my company. Since we live in the same area, we ended up meeting at the bus stop one day and took the bus together to Ghatkopar station. It was fine as a one-time thing, but now it has turned into a daily routine that I never agreed to.

Every single day, she calls me for updates: "Where are you? I'm waiting at the bus stop."

To be honest, it’s starting to feel incredibly heavy and suffocating. I feel like my boundaries are completely gone. Even on days when I don't feel like taking the bus or want to do my own thing, she calls, and because she is 8 years older than me, I find it really hard to say no. I usually end up giving in, or rarely saying no.

On top of that, during the commute, she constantly stares at me, which is making me highly uncomfortable. I feel trapped because we work at the same place.

How do I politely but firmly establish boundaries and stop this daily commute routine without making things weird at the office?
