Got my Schecter earlier this year (second hand, built 2020). Before I only played on lent Instruments because I just couldn't find the right guitar for me. So I played a Squier Strat that was super heavy, and felt really bulky (I'm small). Then an Ibanez RGsmthing with acceptable weight, but a neck that didn't work so well for me.
Now I got this beauty I totally love to pick up and play, sounds fantastic even in the ancient amp in the band room. It sits so well in my arms, I can play for a long time without back/neck pain, even though it's not a lightweight guitar. I also really enjoy the locking tuners. They work really well. Isn't that top gorgeous? That was what drew me in initially (and decided because of the sound). I love those fades from solid color to natural wood grain.
Even the very purist friend I play with, who is super suspicious of any electric guitar gear younger than 30 years (ehhh, active PUs, reeeeeally?) and not Ibanez gave it a sincere nod of approval after hearing it.
In the back that's my daughters Ukulele (Flight Pathfinder) in dire need of a restring... Just lovely to see her sitting on front of the amp, testing out the settings, the Uke in her lap :-) Even if it means having to fiddle the settings on the amp back after she's done ;-)
Just a nice place to be. One of the nicer spots in summer, due to being in the shadow for most of the day. It's right outside my kitchen, so I grow herbs there.
The balcony is a later addition to the house. Originally (or, well, before it became a balcony at least, no one really knows at that age), there was a staircase with a wooden façade. On the outside was the big gate that lead into the courtyard of the castle complex. Later on, about a century ago, the façade was removed, except the part that was needed as a fence for the balcony.
