Teaching Assistants - or just the teacher?

Hello all!

I am almost done with my graduate level degree in library science and I have noticed in a few of my classes (both in undergrad and graduate level) that it seems like the TA does all of the grading. Especially since my program is entirely online, I question what the reasoning behind this is.

It feels a little bit like... why am I paying all this money to get an accredited degree and all that stuff but all my work and progress is being done by someone who is not at a doctoral level, let alone a professor at my university? I dont super understand the structure of TA's, so any thoughts or perspectives are appreciated!

Wifi-Only Usage?

I've been wanting a wifi only phone for a while to use as a work phone basically (just outlook and Teams). I went to Walmart to just pick up one of their prepaids for this purpose, and the worker told me that it wouldn't work for that??? I tried to press her about it but she was really confident so I ended up just leaving.

I don't really know much about it, so was hoping y'all could shed some light! Was she right? Where can I get a cheap phone (50 less) if I only want to use it for wifi?
