Unfortunately, a Big Beautiful pothole caused this, on my RX350 2013, any suggestions, should I take it to a body shop, is it a cheap simple fix?, do i have ti replace the entire front lip, or should I not, are front lips for this model expensive not quite sure what to do, any help will be appreciated, btw yes their is a tiny Crack and its hanging off not just some scratches
I know it isnt perfect, but as long as the area is restored to its full rigidity, that means its no longer soft where when the ball hits it the ball kinda dies, now full structural rigidity has been restored. The hardest part was creating the holes because it would be very hard to make them like orginal, maybe I dont have the skills to make the wholes perfect but worst comes to worst ill redo the process it takes around 24 hours.
To talk you through the process, I began by sanding down the affected area untill I reached the foam, after reaching the foam I prepped the surface with epoxy (mix of resin and hardener), directly on the foam, do not worry it doesnt leak into the foam as the top of the surface of the foam doesnt let it soak in, then using 3K Carbon Cloth 200gsm 0.2mm, I layer the carbon cloth a small one then I put a slightly larger one on top but it still doesnt cover the full area i sanded, then finally one of overlapping the sanded area going on to the surface of the racket, between each layer i added epoxy and on the final added on top then applied pressure on it from both sides using a clamp and not directly on it their was a two pieces of wood under the between the racket and wood, i kept a piece of cloth so that the surface doesnt get damaged, I let the pressure be kept for around 16 hours before I made the holes and sanded the area for a final time.
Unfortunately the Racket cracked while using it today, not sure if it was cause of a hit at the padel ball or, its when my racket collided with my teamates, to explain that more my teamate went for a ball that was totally mine fully committed but he comes running and the edge of his racket not the face, hit my racket around the same area, but I didnt think anything of it I actaully told him "break it! Break it!", but that was just warming up then I moved to another court tried using my racket felt the shot wasnt giving power, and immediately realised it was cracked in the sweet spot, I was very sad I didnt even have the racket for a year i got it June or july of 2025, from padelmarket, now anyone reccomending the The NOX AT10 Genius 12K Alum XTREM 2026, agustin tapia new main, supposed to be closest to the old main, but I didnt like it i actually tried it for a few sets as that what my partner uses we traded I didnt like it, the serves arent the same and the racket feels too light ( I could try to get used to it), so im thinking of getting the same racket not sure if its worth it because its pretty much the same price as the newer ones barely a difference in price, im looking to buy a very very similar racket, I would buy it most likely from Padel Pro Shop or PadelMarket, or smashinn. I really need help because im not what to choose so many options, I prefer teardrop shape if anyone is wondering, I much prefer it.
Wish it didnt break in the worst area possible 😪.
