2 x Quotes - Too good to be true?

Honda Civic 2016 - Eastern Canada so heavy winters.

Quote 1 : Full replacement of the "wing of the car" approximately 6500 CAD

Quote 2 : Cut rusted metal out and replace, then paint section. 500 CAD

Hoping to keep the car for another 5 years so I want to repair, but if the repair is worth half the value of the car, I may just let it rust out.

Will the cheaper repair hold or will it be back in a year?

Hit a deer

Almost avoided a deer but it hit this piece off. The top half snapped in but the bottom won’t because a few clips snapped off. Anyone have easy fix or should I report a claim?

What would you do? Used car we bought, bad rust in one area

Hi everyone, my son purchased this 2014 Acura ILX. Somehow I managed to not notice the severity of one spot of rust on the underside of the driver front quarter panel and rocker. The PPI mentioned rust but the photos didn’t capture it very well and I didn’t realize it was this severe.

Let’s face it, I screwed up.

Question now is what to do from here. Should I take it to a rust…fixing place, just treat it heavily with rust converter? I know this is worthy of mockery (let me have it) but genuinely what would you do?

The rest of the car is in good shape and it runs well. But obviously this rust is not good.

UPDATE: booked it in for an estimate Monday am

Should I junk the the car or sell for parts?

I was originally gonna fix the car but after looking at CV for these “2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo”, it’s around $1200-2000 if I sold it which doesn’t seem worth it for what I’ll have to spend on parts. Keep in mind it still needs tire rod and bearing work. The parts are around 450-500. Body damage could be anywhere from 400-800 depending on what I may need. So I’m gonna get something for it what would you recommend?

How do I remove the car dealership badge without damaging the original paint? I bought this car used and it’s been on there for about 9 years

Branch fell on car

Bad storm last night a branch fell on my car cracked the windshield and dented the roof. Would it be possible to fix the dent with a suction cup or something like that? Don’t want to call my insurance since they have a $750 deductible I’d rather just call safelite and replace the windshield for $50.

Ripped shark antenna off my Lexus

I ripped the shark antenna off my 2014 Lexus es350 parking in garage. I’m pretty handy on basic car stuff (replacing broken tail lights, mirrors, installed Hamilton radio, etc), but not sure if this is something I could fix myself if I bought a replacement or if it is more damaged and needs a body shop. There’s no real other damage, I got lucky I think, a few scuffs I can buff out but that’s it. The first pic is a closeup of the roof, and third pic some electronic part ripped off. My Hamilton CarPlay still works but I haven’t tested the factory radio and stuff yet. Wanted to get some opinions… not sure if it’s something I can fix relatively easily in a couple hours myself, or if I should take to a shop

2019 XC60 Body Work. High level estimates?

I was quoted ~$2k for the hood alone by the dealership near me which was before the passenger wheel well panel was damaged. Roughly how long do you think the work would take? Live in MA

Scuffs under trunk lid

Brand new Tesla and of course I’m anal over my car. This is my fault as I dropped a luggage case on the rear bumper of the car. It’s deep but doesn’t seem to have messed the paint up in certain lighting. Already tried a rubbing compound and that didn’t work. Is this fairly simple for a body shop to repair without replacing the bumper.

Fix for scrape/dent

Was backing up and accidentally side skirt my uncles car. Right now I’m trying to figure out what kind of body work this is going to need.

Rear Ended .. chances of being repaired?

Unfortunately I was rear ended within less than 30 days of my purchase of my 24 Blazer. Insurance found me not at fault . Just wondering the chances of this being repaired? Trying to think ahead in case of worse scenario occurs:

Still in the preliminary inspection phase . But from my understanding the Lift gate needs to be completely replaced along with the bumper, the cover , exhaust is completely damaged , and there where other things that were stated but i could get everything written down fast enough..

Is there a DIY fix for this dent?

My friend got distracted and drove back out of the garage with the driver door fully open (don't ask!) which hit the garage door metal frame. We saw the dent repair kits online but they seem to best serve when you have a flat surface circling the whole dent to pull with suction. Any options here that we may be able to finagle at home? Thanks for any tips
