Is the rust on this F150 serious?

I am looking at this 1997 F-150 tomorrow evening, I am located in the Chicago area (rust belt). The vehicle is one owner and garage kept. It looks very clean from the pictures. But the owner shared these photos of the rust spots on the truck and it’s giving me a little hesitation.

The textured portion in the picture is the bed of the truck (driver side between wheel and cab). Is this just the tip of the iceberg here in regards to rust, or is this a simple fix? The owner said the texture/repair was done professionally a long time ago.

I’m guessing the second picture of the door is nothing too serious?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Door edge scuff

My daughter opened my new car door in our carport and grazed the wood post. I know its really small but this is likely primer and not metal, right? Would this rust if I dont touch it up?

Is body work a job you can do into older years and with not so great coordination?

Hi, I'm wondering if there are many safety issues in bodyworks if you have some coordination deficits. If someone is coordinated so that they can do good work with one hand, but lack motor instincts. For example, a decent chance they may not catch something quickly enough to avoid it falling on the ground.
Also, is this field hard on your body? Can you do it into your 50s and 60s?

Chipped windshield

2021 Subaru Impreza Sedan

A rock got kicked up on the highway and chipped my windshield. Any thoughts on whether to leave it or get it fixed? Of getting it fixed, should I go through insurance? Any recommendations for where to go?

Deer Accident, Shop says repair is acceptable

Deer collision affected driver side fender, grill, front bumper, driver door panel (no visible damage but the door couldn't be opened). Photos are after shop repaired, painted and replaced the parts. Honda Accord Gray 2021. this is the first time dealing with a collision and I'm just trying to stand up to the shop if this repair is unacceptable and sub par. Mind you, this is a reputable collision shop in GA. Thank you

DIY help

Decided last Sunday to work on fixing the bottom of my driver side door of my Avalon. The car’s body overall is rusty (frame is solid) and the bottom couple inches of the door were starting to bubble and chip.

I started by taping off the area I wanted to work on and took 40 grit on a battery orbital sander around the whole area, which did not seem to do much. Went to a wire wheel on the super rusty spots, which began to create bigger holes (1st picture). I sprayed some rust dissolver on it and cleaned up what I could.

From there I went from looking to spray paint it and be done to filling holes that I was not qualified to do. None the less I continued to sand prior to using bondo, unfortunately I thought maybe an orbital pad on a grinder would help my situation but it made my Project much of a bigger deal as I now had to bondo not just a few holes but the entire area (2nd picture).

I used Short strand fiberglass bondo to fill rust holes and after the first couple layers it looked promising. I since switched regular bondo to try to smooth out the entire panel but am having difficulty making it smooth. This car has 360k miles with plenty of dings and dents to go around so I can’t hurt it, just trying to learn what I can.

I am 100% self taught with a little bit of AI, the last picture is of my current progress. I have switch to using a 2x4 with some 50 grit around it to help smooth, and did a dusting of black spray paint to find low spots.

Any thoughts/advice/critiques are more than welcome

Is it worth fixing?

I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere else so hopefully someone here can help. I have a car sitting in my grandparents garage a state over. They're moving out and need to know what I want to do with the car, scrap or repair. It was my first car and also my DREAM car, so Im inclined to repair it.

Here are the details:

●Saab 9-5, Year 2005, #Miles IDK 🤷‍♂️

●It stopped turning on which is why I left it, some error message would pop on the screen and we couldn't figure out what it was or how to fix it.

●It's been sitting for like 2 ~ 3 years 😬

I would love to fix it and drive it regularly again, but it seems like an expensive fix, if its even possible. Is it worth it?

Front bumper dent with no paint damage — repair options?

Someone backed into my parked M340i and left a small dent/crease on the front bumper. No paint cracking or major scratches. The bumper has PPF on it currently. Looking for opinions from anyone who’s dealt with bumper creases on BMWs, especially with PPF involved. Trying to figure out the least invasive repair option before committing to repainting the bumper.

Is it totaled?

T-bones a blacked out Tesla at 4am with no lights on and they had no car insurance 😵‍💫 trying to figure out my next steps as I need transportation asap. All of that on the ground is oil as I went over a curb and destroyed the underpart of my car. Airbags did deploy.

Can These White Scratches Be fixed or Reduced ?

Hello, I have these many white scratches on the black trim of my car but they are not "deep". Is there any way to make them disappear or reduce their appearance as much as possible, please ?

Is it worth salvaging

I'm kinda devastated at this point. I bought this 5th gen recently and was excited to work on it since it seemed like the previous owner neglected it. While working under the car I noticed the "repairs" on the rocker panels, but left it alone untill today. I decided to rip the bandaid off.. and its bad. I don't know if its worth repairing, and I definitely won't get what I paid for if I sell it.

I'm equally mad at the attempt to repair it. If it were left alone it probably wouldn't be this bad, all that foam just traped more moisture.

If I were to repair it, where would I even start? I have a welder and a will, but if it's scrap then I would like to not waste time on a sunk cost. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hit and Run at night. Repairable?

Someone hit my car overnight while it was parked in the street. I am worried there is too much B-pillar damage for a repair. I only have liability insurance so I will be paying out of pocket. Am broke student and don’t care if the replacement doors are bright green as long as it’s safe to drive. Thanks & r.i.p to my car 😢

DIY dent improvement

Keen DIYer looking for advice how I might be able to reduce this dent somewhat.

Unknown cause. Bought it like this.

Got a ton of failing clear coat so wouldn't mind prepping it for respray. I have some experience with body filler, but none with dent pulling.

Literally any improvement possible to minimise filler. I am not delusional enough to expect to be able to return it to factory condition.

2005 Subaru Legacy sedan for reference.

Any and all advice appreciated. Thank you!

Repairs

Got In a wreck today with the truck, all cosmetic. The camera systems fine no other damage. What do the body shops do these days as far as fixing damage. Do they just order new front ends and paint them? The upper quarter panels dented. First wreck in 30 years so I was curious.

Repair or replace

Is there “easy” way to hammer this out back into shape without car body machine. I’m trying to avoid cutting this out and replacing with part from a donor machine.
