Why are gains for trading securities not subtracted from NI like gain from the sale of equipment are?
What excel formulas to use for the exam?
I know there are formulas for the double decline(=ddb) and sum of years digits(=SYD) depreciation methods. Any others?
Am I dumb or does this question not give enough info to know whether the bonds are dilutive or not?
Anyone have any guessing strategies?
I didn't know how to solves this question but since the bonds were dilutive, I knew the numerator had to go up. There was only 1 option that had the numerator go down so I knew that wasn't the correct answer. However, I had a feeling the difference between the original NI and the the option where were numerator went down was the actual difference between the NI and the correct answer. So i subtracted 600,000 by 247,500 which = 352,500 and I added that to the NI and got the correct answer of 952,500.
Double declining balance method=ddb
Sum of years digits=syd
I applied for provisional status in Illinois a couple of days ago, and they said it would take 3–6 weeks to get approved.
After (hopefully) getting approved, what are the next steps, and how long does it usually take before you can actually sit for an exam?
I’m graduating in mid-June, so if it really takes that long, I’m wondering if applying for provisional status was pointless since I might graduate before I’m even able to take a section.
I've finally went over all the topics on Becker for FAR. How did/would you review before taking the exam?
