I don't know if it's due to being in a recession area or what.

But in my area, I keep seeing so many 20s-30s, sometimes older women saying, "I should not have dated X", "I shouldn't have had a kid to him", etc.

I keep seeing so many women dating men who are current or former criminal type. Like drug dealers, police pursuit men, etc.

Some just seem to date men who are barely ever home, don't help with the kids, don't spend time with the woman, etc.

Not to sound like "why not nice guys", but what makes the above listed men so exciting that so many women can't stop dating them?
