Advice on resetting and adjusting as the game goes on

Hello all! For context, this is my 13th season I started at 9 and umping had been the pleasure of every summer. Historically speaking I get really good reviews for parents coaches and kids alike. That said, there are still some games (maybe 1 in every 20-25) where I just feel like I can’t get in a rhythm the way I like and every call retrospectively feels a little off from what it maybe should. This is likely due to going from as low as 9u little league up to maybe high school varsity from one day to the next. Anyone have advice on how to cool down, collect, and reset effectively so that I can finish those games that feel rough (even if they maybe aren’t that bad) more consistent and confident?

Hi y'all! So I have done some work on typewriters, I stripped down and worked a lot on an Underwood Standard 6, but I am looking to expand my collection, and particularly am looking at electric models as I want to draft a book and some of the spell corrects would be neat to utilize. I have noticed that a lot around me are either non-functioning as a whole, or have a motor that will turn on but won't type. This leads me to my couple of questions: How accessible are parts for electric models from the 60s-90s, of those which brands are most common to find for parts. Are most of these issues with the mechanical sides or wiring issues? For those who have learned how to work on mechanical and electric typewriters, is there actually a drastic difference in difficulty, as it would seem? Any insight into how to learn to work on electrics via manuals, good YouTube channels, etc., would be dope.
