Questions:

- Is the Svbony brand any good (in general)?

- Are there any better brands out there?

Context:

- Lives in the Philippines

- Gonna use said binocs for general bird sightings, watch out for my conure while free flight to some degree

- Gonna use this as a beginner binocs, specifically the 8x32

DIM Anker Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro

Watched some reviews about these TWS earphones. Am VERY impressed about its ANC (see JerryRigEverything). Probably the best from what I've seen or heard.

Already got to use Jabra, Razer, Sabbat, and Edifier.

Sound quality is kind of secondary since I am not the biggest audiophile with extremely high standards.

Also saying no to wired, since sadly hard to position in pocket.

So, yes, inputs welcome.

DIM: Samsung S26 Ultra

Back story: Coming from Honor Magic V3 (a foldable phone)

So I've sort of decided to buy an S26 Ultra. Buying it for the following reasons:

- Privacy is important, and having it built in is better

- Specs are important, as I play games on my phone. I also store somewhat a lot of files, so I am looking at the 512 GB option

- Samsung DeX is needed, as I have an external monitor and actually use it often (if you guys can recommend a brand that does desktop option as well, do input

- Long-term solution, as the older phones I've had had issues (nubia, Realme, Honor)

Yes, I know it is an expensive phone, so rule that out.

Yes, I would've preferred either a foldable and/or one with an IR blaster and desktop mode, though only either Honor or Oppo/OnePlus does this (and I am kinda hesistant ever since Honor done me dirty)

Screenshot issue mullings (tinfoil hat maybe)

Since a lot of us have been having issues with the screenshot issue, makes me wonder how it happened. I mean there were no updates for most of us I think (none on my end for sure).

Wondering how it happened.

Honor Magic V3 (FCP-N49) issues

Yes I put in the MagicOS flair. I am blaming the OS

Basically, outer screen touch functions DO NOT WORK suddenly. No physical damage happened prior this, just suddenly stopped working. Oddly works when using the "use main camera for selfies." After cache reset it suddenly doesn't work even. Is this how unstable the updates are?

I am sure it is not a loose cable because why was I still able to use it in a short span of time (mentioned above).

Release an emergency fix, or allow customers to download stock ROM. I am not dropping ~PhP 12k for an unsure fix because your service center does not know if changing the front screen itself will solve the issue.

Just gonna add some extra bits:

  • MagicOS 10 seems to be less stable than the previous iteration, having some apps freeze (MoveIt, for example)
  • Performance seems to be slower overall, even though performance improvements were stated. Phone heats up faster
  • Battery also started draining faster than previous iteration
