March Approval Batch #IOE959

I can’t believe it’s finally my turn to post this!! There were times when I thought my approval wouldn’t never come but it finally did !🥹🥺. My prayers and positive vibes go out to everyone that is still waiting. I know this was a difficult season for me and others have waited longer than me, so my heart goes out to everyone still waiting!
My timeline:
03/23/2026: Submitted my DACA renewal online.
04/24/2026: Completed biometrics.
06/05/2026: Contacted USCIS and was told my case was still within normal processing times.
07/13/2026: Submitted a service request for being outside normal processing times through phone.
07/21/2026: Submitted an inbox message through the USCIS online portal regarding not receiving a decision notice.
07/27/2026: Sent USCIS the Pre-Demand letter by certified mail an email
08/05/2026: Submitted congressional inquiry.
08/10/2026- Submitted online expedited request on work permit.
08/21/2026: My EAD expired. This was also my last day of work, as I could no longer continue working without valid employment authorization.
08/24/2026: Submitted a request to the CIS Ombudsman.
09/08/2026: Finally saw the first API movement since biometrics.
09/11/2026: Submitted an expedite request by phone on my I-821D.
09/14/2026: Both expedite requests denied. Also received a response to my portal inbox of decision not rendered stating that my case was still undergoing required review
09/15/2026: Filed a pro se writ of mandamus at the courts.
9/23/2026: Congressional inquiry was responded to by USCIS saying “case continues to maintain its placement in a processing queue where additional vetting of the case will be completed, no estimated time of approval.”
09/28/2026: The last defendant was served for my WoM
9/29/2026: Return the proof of service back to the courts.
10/01/2026: APPROVED at 4:10pm!! 🎉
TBA- Card received( I’ll come update it when I get it)
192 days from filing to approval!

I tried everything I could think of: calling USCIS, submitting service requests, chatting with agents online, sending an inbox message through my USCIS portal, requesting expedited processing, contacting my congressman's office, submitting an Ombudsman request, the pre demand letter and the WoM. I truthfully don’t know if the WoM was what worked but I had to do it because I saw people waiting for 200 plus days and it broke my heart.

For those who filed a Writ of Mandamus

I recently filed a Writ of Mandamus and I’m hoping to hear from others who have gone through the same process.
If you filed a WOM, would you mind sharing your timeline?
• When did you file?
• When was the last defendant/summons served?
• How long after the last summons was served were you approved?
If you’re still waiting, how long has it been since everyone was served?
I know every case is different, but I’m really interested in hearing recent experiences and getting an idea of what others' timelines looked like after summons were completed.
Thank you to anyone willing to share! 🙏🏼

IOE959 API movement on 9/08?

I applied for my DACA renewal on March 23 and had my biometrics on April 24. After my biometrics, I had absolutely no API movement . Then on September 8, my API finally updated for the first time. I know an API update doesn't necessarily mean an approval is coming, but after waiting this long, I allowed myself to hope that maybe someone had finally touched my case. My work permit expired August 21, and I've been on leave from my job since then. My leave only lasts until October 1, so I'm getting really worried as that date gets closer. I guess my questions are: Did anyone else see API movement on September 8 and then get approved?
Also, has anyone with an IOE959 receipt number been approved recently? I've been checking MyCaseHub, but I haven't really seen many IOE959 cases showing up, so I'm having a hard time figuring out where this receipt block is in the approval waves. If you're IOE959 and were approved, I'd really appreciate it if you could share your filing date, API movement date (if you noticed one), and approval date. I'm just trying to get an idea of whether there is finally some movement in this receipt range. And also, I’ve done it all: the inbox “did not receive decision”, expedite request, inquiry from congressmen representative( never got a response), uscis case inquiry, letter of intent( mailed and email). Nothing has been successful. The only thing I haven’t done is the actual WOM.
