DACA APPROVAL

Finally after 2 months of expiration and no work. I got the 821 silent approval today. I had been checking the API thing every other day and saw movement yesterday. Applied 12/10. Expired 3/16. I applied a little late. Now Ima call my former boss nd see if they have rehired for my position yet lol.

To all the ones pending approval, hang in there. Dont lose hope. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
To all the ones who haven't applied. Apply at a minimum 6 months prior.

Approvals

Hi, everyone! I was just curious to know if anyone has experienced a “quick” timeline? I see so many posts across a lot of socials regarding delayed processes/approvals. That it got me wondering if there are people out there that weren’t waiting for 4+ months?

My current timeline

DACA

Hi DACA fam I just came here to vent a little with you guys. I still cannot believe that DACA recipients are made to go through these long delays with many people experiencing 1-2 month delays. Im hearing that people are losing their job and their source of earnings an income as a result people are losing their homes. I personally have been stuck at home for over a month now, and will be losing my home soon if I cannot earn an income . This current republican administration is out of control and are only hurting the lives of people by jeopardizing and disrupting their lives for no reason whatsoever . Under the current administration the delays that we are experiencing took place without any warning or consideration from USCIS of what DACA recipients could undergo. This is a totally unethical practice that has not been seen before in the history of this nation and will possibly make into the history books. I have a November 21, 2025 processing application and I’m hoping to hear some good news soon, for I’m hearing that they are now processing all of the November applications. Anyways, everybody please stay safe and stay out of trouble while we get through this horrible situation that we are experiencing under this current administration.

Back to check in

Wondering if anyone who filed in early December for a renewal has received any news?

I'm stuck at "We've received your petition" and there's been no progress or action in my case since I sent it.

Driver license

Debating whether I should stay in Texas for my renewal .mine expire January 7.2027.. planning to renew end of July . However I worry about Hanen giving out a Final Cut during midterms in November. And then possibly getting denied. I have seen daca approvals in Texas but nothing about the employment. Those that have been accepted this year, were yall able to renew your driver license?? Because I heard we were no longer able to…

Buying a new car/renewing registration

Can someone explain the new rules to me? Am I still able to buy a new car and finance it in Texas with my valid DACA? I had a credit union deny me bc of my limited term liscense.

If I have to keep my current car, does this mean I can’t register it anymore either?

DACA Delays

Hello DACA recipients, I recently seen a post on Facebook claiming that USCIS has stopped processing applications for DACA and TPS for the month of May. According to Lawfully an app that categorizes and tracks approved applications, this is not true. As of May 15, 2026; 4,848 DACA applications have been approved on this month. DACA applications are moving along, although many applicants are experiencing delays. Also, I wish to remind everyone for the love God to please stay out of trouble while applications are being processed.

Hi fellow dreamers! Just received the email with approval. 🙏 My receipt date was November 3, 2025 I hope this gives someone hope. I had two expedite request denied and congressman inquiry also denied btw. Lost two jobs as of March 29, 2026 due to the delay. I will be able to return to one as soon as I receive it. May this storm come to an end with a rainbow at the end for you all as well. 🫶

EXP: 12/07 asking for a recommendation

Hello, Ive been reading a-lot of articles telling me to submit my renewal application on 6/10, exactly 180 days before expiration,

Ive been seeing a-lot of reports online of many applications taking longer than 180 days and I’ve grown a bit worried as I am fond of my current career path at my current employer

Would it be a waste of time and assets submitting my application earlier than 180 before expiration? Iv’e seen other posts telling me that they won’t even look at it till the 180 day window opens or that ill run the risk of my application getting buried

Thank you for your time

Checkpoint

Has anyone driven through the Falfurrias checkpoint recently? I will be going to Houston and Dallas for the World Cup and just wondering how the checkpoint has been. I’ve never had a bad experience but just want to see as of recently.

RENEWAL AND SCHOOL

Hi guys! My permit expires August 4 and I renewed my permit in March and went to my biometrics in April. I’m currently still in uni and get Texas grant and wondering how this could affect my grants if my permit doesn’t arrive on time. The semester starts August 17. Has anyone encountered the same type of problem maybe during the spring semester?? What did y’all do?

DACA & TDLR

I’ve been seeing posts saying that DACA recipients can no longer get a TDLR card. But wouldn’t that only apply to immigrants who use an ITIN instead of a Social Security number? I’m asking because I’ve been wanting to get mine so I can work as an electrician. I’m thinking about leaving the state but I need the money to be able to do that.

Leaving Texas

With DACA coming to an end in Texas sooner or later, I’m wanting to seriously consider moving to another state. If it’s going to happen eventually, I might as well prepare as much as I can worse case scenario. I just wanted to see if any DACA recipients had any recommendations of what state would be a good place to move to or if they are in the same situation, what are you doing rn with everything going on. I’m in my early 20s, I make a decent amount so I can save up, I don’t have any dependents, I want to eventually go back to school so some place I could qualify for financial aid. I’m eyeing Washington the most, but who knows I haven’t researched enough, just a nice thought. I just wanted to hear first hand real people experiences.
