Upcoming international student at Leiden University – urgently looking for accommodation
Hi everyone, I hope it’s okay to post here. I am an incoming international student (non-EU) who will be starting my studies at Leiden University on 1 September. Unfortunately, despite searching for quite some time, I have still not been able to find accommodation. The housing situation has been much more difficult than I expected, and it’s become a very stressful situation for both me and my parents. With my program starting soon, I’m running out of time and am becoming increasingly worried. If anyone lives in Leiden or nearby (The Hague, Voorschoten, Oegstgeest, Leiderdorp, Zoetermeer, etc.) and knows of:
* a room or studio available for rent,
* student accommodation,
* someone looking for a roommate,
* or any reliable housing leads,
I would be incredibly grateful if you could let me know. Even recommendations for Facebook groups, housing agencies, or other resources that have worked for you would be greatly appreciated. I’m open to living outside Leiden as long as it’s within a reasonable commuting distance by public transport. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
