One of the downsides of being a kemetic
...is that, I think, there are just too many things to study. Especially when you compare yourself to other pagans. I'm not saying that we are the only ones who study history but still, most of the other pagans just DON'T NEED TO STUDY THIS MUCH.
Like, if you think about it, most pagans only need to study some of very unique specific times, like BCE 600s for hellenics, CE 800s for Norse pagans, and sometimes they really don't need to study that much of a history, like in a case of Wicca. At least for sure, they don't need to decipher the meaning of 4000 years old funerary texts or temple scripts just to BELIEVE IN A RELIGION YOU LOVE. In fact, I sometimes think that even majority of the most religious Hindus won't be like this, since they already have a solid structure to their thesis, local customs and communities as religious backbone.
I'm not saying this is an essentially bad thing. Being some sort of a disciple of one of the longest continued religion, while having specific moral guidance and support from divine beings is something to be happy about. However this current state of kemetism as a shattered religion does make some challenges, even in mundane moments sometimes. Maybe other paganisms don't need to be a centralized or structured religion, but in case of kemetism, individualism just puts too much pressure by the sheer amount of texts, interpretations and philosophic ideas of those. Idk, maybe i'm just trying to be too much of a perfectionist in terms of religion, but these are just my own thoughts so you might agree or disagree.
