Why do we help people?

Do we help people because they're weak or do we help people because they're good?

Or a better question is, do we help people because we see that they need it, or we help them because we know that it will not be wasted on them?

If we choose the latter, is it favouritism or being wise?

How do I track arrogance inside of me before it get out of hand?

Arrogance or kibr is something that freaks me out after learning about it, and after discovering that you can't enter jannah even with a little of it. It means that I have to make sure that I completely eradicate it within myself before I pass away.

I am a lowkey person that doesn't dress extravagantly, but I sometimes feel a sense of 'ujb inadvertently. For the people that are struggling with this and working on it or the people that are knowledgeable, how do you snuff it out?
