New Flatblade Katana Set (Nodachi, katana, & wakizashi)

three matching flatblades that i made myself from scratch:

the cores are made bamboo stakes heated, bent, glued, and bound to make their cores. its a lengthy process, but the result it worth it to me!

the "damascus steel" fabric is a silver and glitter fabric i found online. i also used a gold acrylic marker to draw on lines. and my makers mark.

if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

additionally, i posted a linktree in my profile if anyone wants to see my posts on fb or insta first!

Finally finished two swords that have been on my to do list for way too long!

The silver one was a commision, the other one was just for fun and to try some new build methods!

(The red one was approved by reeves and passes all legal requirements and is safe to use)

For the blue one:

I designed the face of the guard in Blender and then 3d printed a mold and used foam clay to make two identical faces. The writing was made using acrylic markers. I also made an accompanying belt clip sheath out of kydex! I gave it an open face so you can see the lettering! The lettering says "all are my peers" in the Warhammer language.

For the red one:

I used a silicon mold and foam clay to make the skulls (one on each side), the bone pommel, and used more foam clay to make the ridges. The handle is made from carved/ sanded pvc pipes. And the writing was made with acrylic markers too. I used ventiblack paint to make the skulls extra dark and dry brushed silver paint on them to make them pop! (And again, all the portions of this blade meet amtgard legal requirements and has been apporved by multiple reeves) the lettering says "rip them, tear them, burn them" in Black speech from LotR
