Hi! I’m a freshman, and I was planning to take Chem I for the Fall 2026 semester. I heard chem in GWU is terrible, so I was wondering if there’s any tips or recommendations anyone can give me in order to get a decent grade?

Also, I heard that some students would rather take chem in a community college. Can someone elaborate on how to do that? (I’m an international student, so I’m really confused on how things work in the U.S.) Is it like being enrolled in both the university and the cc or how does that work?
