Why architecture?

Hey guys, I’m headed for architecture in the fall, but I’m kinda scared that this isn’t the right major for me. I’ve taken 10 years of art classes, and have always wanted to pursue a career related to art. However, I’m not even entirely sure what it means to be an architect, or if I even have the passion to get through the hard work this major demands.

So for those of you who are 100% committed to becoming licensed architects, why architecture? What made you sure of your decision and willing to undergo the difficulties it brings?

Why architecture?

Hello, I’m a student who will be studying architecture in the fall, and was wondering how those in the field decided that this was the right path. From what I’ve seen and heard, architecture is a difficult major to pursue if you aren’t passionate about it.

Now that university is approaching, I’m kind of scared that this wasn’t the right choice.

So I’ve come here to ask, what made you sure that architecture was right for you?
