Wilds unknown is the best set to ever be released

While I am upset with the iconic selection, I do feel that both iconics at least feel iconic compared to whispers and winterspell and I’m ok with that. I also do appreciate the thought behind making woody the trophy card. It’s got me considering competing in person for the first time in my life. But it feels like a crime to not do buzz & woody iconics.

My other complaint about the set is Encanto. Idk why but the Atlantis IP doesn’t bother me being in the set, Milo is actually one of my favorite artworks this set. But encanto has had a HEAVY presence in Lorcana and I feel those extra slots should have been used for more variants of toys, supers, and Vikings.

Now with that being said. The positives.

-TRIBAL DECKS. It’s obvious they are working hard towards meta decks becoming tribal and I applaud RB for really working on this, it’s the one thing I can’t stand about Lorcana, just piles of good cards instead of a competitive theme deck. It’s still not perfect but such a great step forward.

-Artwork. I don’t know if I would say the art is better than fabled. But it still seems like set after set they just get better and better at making enchanteds feel even more special. I’m not a huge fan of the circle background for each enchanted myself but they still look amazing. I pulled kida and it is an amazing artwork. I don’t care for Atlantis but it’s one of my favorite enchanteds I’ve pulled.

And the last reason and why I made this post.

-PULL RATES. The increased pull rates are perfection. I’ve opened two troves, 14 loose packs, and a booster box and pulled 1 enchanted. I feel like that’s right about where it should be. 1/54 is pretty fair. I’ve opened 6 boxes at once and pulled nothing in the past. I shouldnt have to spend over 1k per set to hopefully pull 1-2 speculative pieces of cardboard. I understand they need to stay rare to feel special and I feel they really hit the sweet spot with this set.
The increased pull rates put this game in such an amazing spot imo. I can now buy a playset of legendaries for my wife and I for an actually reasonable price. The price to build decks should be cheap. I’ve seen dale (most expensive legendary) in pretty much every single yellow deck (infinity and core) and he’s $13 he would easily be over $60 if they hadn’t increased pull rates. This is so good for the game.

Wilds unknown has awesome cards, awesome art, awesome pulls, and is affordable. I think it’s the best set that’s came out. The game should be cheap to play, hard to collect and I think that sums wilds unknown up pretty well.
