It was such a sweet gesture of Beast Boy to give it to her, and it clearly had some amount of emotional value for her. She held onto it LITERALLY as long as she possibly could. It was with her until what she thought could be her last breath. And to add to this, this is one of the very few moments between them throughout her whole arc, and I think one of the best moments in the whole series.

And then we never see it again.

Ever.

It's like it got forgotten about.

So my comfort headcanon is, idk if that's a thing, but it is now, ever since that penny was lost, every time Beast Boy finds one, he always gives it to Raven, and she keeps them all.

It's a really sweet way to remind her that they would never give up on her, even when her dad is Satan himself, even when she was born to destroy the world and even when she herself lost all hope.

I just love making headcanons like this so much. Little things can make characters feel so much more alive and relatable, so if you have any about these two, ship or no ship, please share! I like reading them a lot

Beast Boy knew EXACTLY what to say to her.

He didn't try to deny the fact that she's creepy, because she IS creepy as hell, and he knew that trying to convince her otherwise is useless. She knows she's scary very well, and he wouldn't be able to change her mind.

What he did instead was he confirmed it. Then immediately added that the fact that she's creepy does not mean she deserves to be lonely or deal with her problems alone.

She's already insecure about being a half-demon, and what Beast Boy suggested by what he said, that it doesn't matter, and he and the team will always support and love her, no matter what, was exactly what she needed to hear.

I also love how it's implied that he's the first one to check on her, and since he knows what it feels like to have your heart broken by someone you trusted deeply, he felt the need to show sympathy.

And this is exactly why this scene is one of my favorites. These two are just so wholesome :')

(I'm honestly a bit scared of sharing this here, Reddit can't handle opinions well, but I want to clarify that I'm not saying this as an objective fact, just a personal view of this scene. I'm curious about how this sub will handle rants like this lol)

Oh and I love Brave SO much btw, she barely got any screentime but I love her... I wish we got to see more of all of them to be honest, because this is such a weird and interesting concept and I'm curious about how Raven would interact with them

Her name is Mazikeen or Zizi for short, which means something like damage doers or harmful spirits which is just perfect for a cat.

I REALLY wanted Raven to have a cat, and of course the first thing that came to my mind was a black shorthair cat, that just seemed like the most obvious choice... And that was the problem. Don't get me wrong I absolutely adore voids but I wanted something a bit different, so I came up with this design. I wanted her to feel unique and recognizable but not a generic cat. This is a Maine coon coat pattern, but Zizi herself is some kind of mix.

I'm just curious whether anyone would be interested in it, since I've never written one before, and admittedly I learned English from YouTube and Discord and I don't read a lot.... Yeah...

She was found by Raven and BB during a mission one cold night, and Beast Boy insisted on taking her home and finding her an owner. Raven agreed.

Robin wasn't really happy about having another animal in the tower but he understood, but made it very clear that they couldn't get attached to her because he knows what both Beast Boy and Starfire are like around animals.

Unexpectedly Raven was the one to get attached. At first the cat took a liking to her, seeking out her company and scratching at her door at night (aka my hc that animals love her due to her empathic abilities and calm nature) Raven eventually had no choice but to let her in, and at first the cat just curled up on her carpet and went to sleep, which became a habit.

Eventually the carpet turned into the spot next to Raven's nightstand, then the corner of her bed, then she just straight up lay down besides her, and she was insistent.

Raven didn't necessarily mind her company, she loved animals, she just knew she shouldn't even have this cat in her room, but she had to realize that the loud purring that sounded like a tiny engine and having someone else in her room had helped with the nightmares. They didn't disappear, but there were fewer of them. She had more peaceful nights.

When Beast Boy discovered this, he immediately knew they couldn't get rid of this cat. It wasn't as simple as just convincing Robin. He was strict about it; no more animals in this tower. Beast Boy explained how the cat has seemingly helped Raven with her sleep.

At first Robin thought BB was just making it up as an excuse to keep her, but he eventually noticed how not only the cat was drawn to Raven, she seemed to like her too. Her mood got a little better over the next few days, and she enjoyed the cat's company.

Now it's non negotiable. They're keeping her.

It always really annoys me how her soul self always looks different every time it shows up but somehow never looks like a raven

She always either looks like a pigeon, an eagle or just... Not like any kind of bird

Now I like a few of those designs, but they just don't give raven vibes, and y'know maybe her soul self isn't even a raven, maybe it's not meant to resemble any kind of bird, or is just supposed to be a pigeon, which, given that she grew up in Azarath would make sense. But really, the opportunity to make Raven's soul self a raven can't be missed.

So I gave her some raven features, a long tail because it's fun, different faint hues in the outline and maybe some extra eyes in her demon form.

HEADCANON TIME

— I hc that her soul self is able to both leave her body and she's able to transform into it herself (which I interpret as her soul self "swallowing" her body) and both methods has pros and cons.

If she doesn't take her body with herself, the time her soul self can be away from her is limited to only a few minutes, but it's basically indestructible. While she can feel pain she can't actually physically get hurt.

If she transforms into it, she's not limited by time at all, but it's easier to hurt her, and injuries will show on her physical body.

— Now there are those moments where she uses to cover herself and the others from the rain

I don't think this and her soul self are the same thing, I think this is just a bird shaped shield. Raven making it intentionally birb shaped is actually really cute lol. Maybe it's not even intentional, it just comes naturally to her

— I imagine it being much more expressive than it was shown in the series. It was almost always so blank and well sue me but boring. I understand why they wouldn't spend that much time animating it but still.

I know there are a lot of comic fans here, so just wanna clarifty that none of my headcanons are meant to be comic accurate, I have my own little version of them in my head

I partially did this because of the comic, I wanna draw her with her hood down too and decided to make a new design... Again. Also I realized that when her hood is up I give her something like a snout(?) but I often make her face flat when it's down so I wanted to change that too

Poor girl went trough at least three hairstyles with me, if not more

If I ever say I found something that I like and I'll stick to it, shut your earholes, I'm lying I won't stick to shit, whether it's a hairstyle, artstyle or literally anything

Look, if I can project my bird obsession onto my favorite characters I will, also it makes sense for these two.

Buttt don't expect anything big or good quality, I cut a lot of corners to save time since I'm working alone on this.

I AM planning on continuing it, though I've been a bit busy with artfight lately too

I wanted to exaggerate some of them a bit and I had this idea that when Raven has a more positive or "softer" emotion, I wanted to make her eyes look a bit brighter and this is what I came up with

I'll probably do the same with her hood down, but I'm really not satisfied with how I'm drawing her hair so I'll try to come up with something

It's sooo fun to draw furies in different poses they're such well designed dragons

And yeah I plan on drawing the other two as teenagers too!

So these are my ideas for the Star Furies! (Name by DragonYeet54)

I wanted to keep it simple, and I wanted to avoid mixing the colors together by just making random body parts black or gray. It was a bit of a struggle, but this is what I came up with.

The gray boy's name is Dusty. He's the biggest but the youngest one. The really dark gray boy is Flick. He's the tiniest and most skittish. And the girl is called Glist, she's the oldest one.

Also wanna announce that my light fury redesigns species name will be Moon fury, named by thedistinctor, and her name will be Dawn, thanks to kasi_di!

Some of them is a bit wonky, admittedly I'm not the best with paint but at least they're mine <3

I wanted to keep the colors similar to how they are in the concept art because I like that hint of blue and gray, but I made the dragon itself much smaller and gave it some more detail.

They're meant to be a much more water-loving dragon, but they're more than capable on land and in the air too. They're really skittish and pretty fast, but not nearly as fast as a night fury. They prefer to glide in the air mostly and travel in small groups.

My name ideas are Sea Splitter, Aqua Fury or Tide Fury. If anyone has any better ideas, feel free to share! I might change it

Sooo the thing is, the name light fury doesn't really feel like it fits this dragon, as someone has pointed out in another post, I kinda removed the "light" part of her. My first language is not English and I'm terrible at coming up with names, so if anyone has any ideas I would be really happy to hear! And if I like one, if you're okay with it I would call this dragon that from now on, and of course would give a shout-out on the other platforms that I'm active on

Kinda just realized I'm basically making a whole new dragon, changing the name, design, personality and all that, but HONESTLY I don't mind

OH and also wanna point out that I'm not a fan of the ending of the third movie, so in the same way I'm not a big fan of Homecoming, so this redraw was just to highlight the difference I tried to make

I made a few mistakes in her design here compared to the one I drew a few days ago, but I'm honestly too tired to correct them, and they're not anything major

Also I made Toothless's design look like in the first movie because I didn't like how he looked like in the hidden world

I'll never get tired of drawing it
