Tribute to: Purrfessional Babysitter, Baxter 🌼🌈

Tribute to: Purrfessional Babysitter, Baxter 🌼🌈

Baxter crossed the Rainbow Bridge last year. He was a true streetie who never really handed in his street cat union card. Even so, he loved sleeping on his hooman's bed, stretched out horizontally, if you please, with his head resting on Mom's leg.

At first, Mom would leave his food outside, and he'd only come out after she went back inside. It took about six months before he started waiting by the front door, greeting her with a little hiss while she put his food down. Then one morning, while she was dishing up breakfast, Baxter rubbed against her leg. She looked down and said, "Oh, it's you!" He hissed, gave a tiny meow, and kept rubbing against her while she served the food. He only did that once, but it's a moment she'll treasure forever.

Baxter adored kittens. He taught them the ropes, and they'd happily bounce along behind him everywhere. He did occasionally bring them birds or other questionable "treats," which was... much less adorable!

The only way Mom could get Baxter to the vet was with a trap, and every checkup had to be done under anesthesia because he wouldn't let anyone handle him. Early on, he disappeared for three days and returned with a huge infected wound. Mom trapped him in a possum trap (the only one she could find), got him treated, and while he was there, he was neutered and microchipped.

He had the loudest purr, and I'd like to think it reflected just how big his heart was. He was such a special boy. 🤗❣️

Before Baxter passed, Mom knew something wasn't right, but he was too street-smart to be caught. The last time she saw him, they were lying on the bed together. He was resting on her leg when he suddenly became very heavy. She shifted a little, he gave a low growl, jumped down, ran off... and disappeared. Later, she found that he'd passed away under her bed.

As heartbreaking as it was, Mom finds comfort in knowing he didn't die alone. He chose to spend his final moments where he felt safest and most loved. ❤️Rest easy, Baxter. You were one incredible little dude, and you'll be missed forever. ❤️🌈

Sleepy kitty is cheering me up

I'm in an awful mood right now but my son is sleeping on my lap so I think everything is gonna be alright.

As for why, I'm a teen bummed out and tired of feeling like she has no control over her life. It will get better, but i can't stand this feeling. Cat snuggles are magical tho, I think. :] Hes my liddol guy <3 I'm hangin in there 🤞

He's mad I made him stay inside because of the fireworks

Vinnie isn't bothered by *any* noises; cars, vacuums, the garage door opening or closing, and definitely not by fireworks. But I don't trust people not to do something awful so he had to come inside earlier than he would like. He's very mad and very vocal about it.

Happy 1st Birthday Melody

I hope all of you wonderful people enjoy the pics I took of Melody for his birthday today. He is such a sweet little prince, he tolerated the hat and bib so well!! We celebrated with his favorite— whipped cream! His tummy handles it just fine thankfully and his vet says it’s okay once in a while. I absolutely adore him. Here’s to many more birthdays my little buddy!!

Currently trying to drown out the noise of fireworks with music, any suggestions on playlists? How do y'all help your cats (and dogs) through this trying time?

I asked my mom for pictures of my cat the day before an exam, here's what I got 🤣

Whenever my mom sends me pictures of the cat, they're always blurry. But these are amazing, I laughed so hard. 🤣😂🤣

These are my boys Panda and Bo

These boys (especially the tux) drive me mad sometimes with their antics. But I wouldn't have them any other way.

The tuxie boy is Bo he turned 11 on valentines day, and his cow brother is Panda he will be 12 in August.

I love them so much. He's some pictures of my lovely little guys.
