Your very own Flatiron residence on Historic Register

First thing I’d do would be to buy gallons of paint stripper to uncover the woodwork. Looks like the side/back of a house is on a creek, which I can only be seen from the backyard patio photo. There’s a wiki page on this place but I was not allowed to post 2 links in the post — please see below in comments.

Agencies: Are you ready to administer your own FEVS?

How many of the agencies have survey software or people who can administer a large survey? Also, the questions that make up the Best Places to Work measure are no longer required (Considering everything, how satisfied are you with your job?, Considering everything, how satisfied are you with your organization?, I recommend my organization as a good place to work.)

Anyone listen to the same book nightly while sleeping?

Lately I’ve been putting on Unsouled by Will Wight to sleep to. While awake, I’ve listened to it dozen(s) of times. It’s like comfort food to me. Curious if anyone else has a go-to book that you sleep to that feels like a warm hug or a cup of hot chocolate on a cold day.

I purchased this home, built in 1975, that occasionally gets some salt water during nor’easters/hurricanes/king tides. Some of the mortar is wearing away on the side closest to the water. There are no foundation cracks, yet. The other side indoors looks fine. I have no hurricane vents, which is something I’d like to get. What are my options to fix this before it gets worse? We are handy, but this seems like something a pro needs to do? Thanks in advance for your help.
