(I'll preface this by stating I am a bit of a snappy fan boy, I'll save anyone the trouble of looking through my post history for evidence of that.)

I shop at harbor freight as well, usually for disposable things that I expect to break, get lost, or only need for that one odd job.

That being said, I see so many "haul posts" where people are just dumping ridiculous amounts of money on ridiculous variety of tools, even if discounted. Often tools that do the same job. Often just because it's a color they don't have. Mindless consumerism.

I'd be willing to bet my modest snap on collection gets more work done than most in this sub do with their robust hf hauls (still in their packaging).

Does anyone really use all the different icon pliers when one or two will accomplish 80% of the tasks?

Tldr, all the money some of y'all spend "saving," could have actually saved from being spent. Just because something is a bargain doesn't mean it's something you actually need. Corporations know this and will watch you sell yourselves on their manufactured scarcity.
