Forbidden romance between MMC and his ex's mom

Hi! I'm looking for a MF romance between MMC who breaks up with his girlfriend and starts hooking up in secret with her mom.

Basically a book like {Birthday Girl} or {Praise} but the reverse of that trope, where the MMC and the mom become a couple.

Undisclosed ads

Lately I keep seeing tiktoks where the woman "caughts" her husband cheating or she does a storytime about how she was cheated and in each of those videos there's a short ad for an app. I'm not going to name the app here, but it's something related to cheaters.

It's never tagged as an ad and the way those people act it's very believable. Last video I saw had almost 8 million views. How is this legal? It's so sneaky as well, the first time I saw a video like that I didn't even realise it's an add

I bought some new books and I can't wait to read them

In the picture:

{Rat Park by Marina Vivancos} - I read it on Kindle and loved it so much I had to buy the paperback as well

{Divine River by Marina Vivancos} - it's a novella

{Lock Step by CT Whistle} - I thought it's interesting to read a romance between two alphas

{Salt by Jonah Yorke} - I read the first book in the series, Sweat, and I liked it, so I can't wait to read this one as well

{A Game of Cat and Witch} - this was an impulsive buy, hope it's good. It's the author's debut book

{Colt by Ivy Myst} also an impulsive buy

{High Water by Maggie Rawdon} I liked the series so far

MMC kisses FMC's neck during foreplay and that turns her on

Soo lots of romances lack a good foreplay scene and I just realised I don't think I've ever read a book where the neck is FMC's erogenous zone, so I'd like to read a book where kissing her neck drives FMC crazy. I'd like if possible for this to be the focus during spicy scenes

Preferably no vampires or RH. Thank you 🩷

Rat Park by Marina Vivancos

This book became one of the best romances I've ever read and it's going to stay in my mind for a very long time.

This book follows Dominic since he was a child, showing him how became an addict, how he started using heroin and other drugs. It's pretty explicit and sad, so if drugs are a trigger for you I'd skip this book.

At some point he meets Cat, a policewoman who takes him and her wing and into her family. There he meets Flor, who's Cat's son. It's a slow burn because Flor is 16 when they first met and obviously nothing happens for a couple of years.

The romance is sweet, but it was so sad to see Dominic relapsing and struggling with his low self esteem and trauma.

I think the book does a wonderful job depicting addiction and how the system fails people who struggle with it. And it's the first book (romance book) I've read where the addiction is an important part of the plot and not just something the main character struggled with in the past.

I highly recommend it if you want to read a well written emotional slowburn.

Why Choose romance where the FMC is in charge

For a very long time I avoided why choose romances because the books I read they all focused on the MMCs: they were the one who decided they want to have sex with FMC, they're the one who included her in the group and most times they were the ones who initiated sex.

So I want to give this trope one more chance and I'm looking for a romance that focuses on the FMC's benefit: she is the one who chooses the MMCs, they have sex when *she* wants and initiates etc. i'm not necesarly looking for femdom, but I'd like for the FMC to be in charge.

I'd also like to also be some MM relations, not just MF.

They start as having casual sex but the emotional part is slow burn

Hi! I'm looking for a MF/MM romance where the two characters start as FWB and gradually they develop feelings for each other.

I'd like the initial relationship to be simple: they enjoy sex and start this FWB dynamic to both be satisfied.

I'm NOT looking for sex coach or trauma related to sex or "I was never able to orgasm can you help me?"

If it's MF I want the FMC to have a good sex life as well and for her genuinely like and enjoy sex.

The best example (and the most popular) I have is {Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid}

I also read {Run Run Rabbit by CM Nascosta} which is similar to what I'm looking for.

I also tried {Stand and Defend by Sloane ST James} but the writing was pretty bad and I couldn't continue.

Please no why choose or menage romances ❤️

Dying light 2 - my thoughts after finishing it

I just finished Dying light 2 and I want to share my thoughts on this game.

The only thing I knew when I started the it was that the story isn't that good. And I agree with that. It's not the worst and the game is still worth playing, but the storyline was the weakest in all three games.

I didn't care that much about the characters and most of them were forgettable.

Also, in this game the focus was on the factions and human characters and less on zombies, which I didn't like.

All the "!" And "?" on the map that were challenges were very annoying. So many challenges 🥲

On the other hand, the parkour was the best part. I genuinely had so much fun climbing the tall buildings, especially in the Old Loop. I LOVED it

A couple of months ago I was making a post about The Beast and how I didn't like the grappling hook in that game. The Grappling hook and its mechanics are very similar in these two games, and I ended up enjoy it because in DL2 you had more opportunities to use it in missions and learn how it works.

Overall I had fun playing it. Not the best story, but it has a big map, lots of things to do and discover in it.

What to do when you actually want to start using your starter?

Hi! I'm currently working on my first sourdough starter and while there are lots of detailed guides on how to create and maintain your starter, I have some unanswered questions regarding the actual use of starter.

For example, I want to bake some bread and I take out of the jar 100 grams of starter. Do I put back 50 gr of flour and 50 ml of water? If yes, is this considered a regular feeding? Do I have to do anything else before or after taking out the starter?

I know it's a stupid question, but I really need some clarification ☹️

I really really crave an angsty and messy romance (with a HEA, of course) and while this scenario isn't usually my cup of tea, I want to read books like this.

So I'm looking for romances where FMC falls in love with her sister's SO and there's cheating. Not the sister's ex, but her current boyfriend (or husband)

It can also be MMC and his brother's girlfriend, that works for me.

Books I've read:

{Still Beating by Jennifer Heartmann}

{The Evolution of Sin by Giana Darling}

Currently reading:

{Dancing with sin by Alexandria Lee} - I like it so far

I know disabilities and their portrayal in books is a sensitive subject. This is just my opinion based on the writing and I'm not saying the things portrayed in the book are not realistic

I really struggled with this book and I had to dnf around chapter 11.

I think I read almost 30% and almost every conversation between the main characters or between them and their friends was related to disabilities, symptoms, treatments, challenges they face etc.

And in theory is not a bad thing, I think it's great the author did the research and tried to bring an accurate portrayal. And obviously disabilities they don't just come and go, people struggles with them every day, they can't hit pause.

But on the other hand, the characters felt like they're just some diagnoses. At that point (chapter 11) we barely know anything about them except their disabilties.

In some parts of the book I felt like I was sitting in a lecture or reading some text book info about medication side effects.

For a debut novel I think the author did a good job - you could tell she's passionate about it and I really do appreciate it and I'll for sure read her future books.

But I don't think the execution was that good, it needed more nuance and balance. Including the challenges the characters face is a must, but being a romance book it should go beyond that.
