I had to fix some bugs regarding the clean sheet shield in my script, but hopefully this is the correct solution now.

Since the last post, I've coded an optimization script with the help of AI. The script found some improvements in the group stage, which sum up to a small 4 point improvement.

I came up with different options, that all result in the same total score of 567. For example, I could have played Freeman and Nmecha on both MD1 and MD2 and used the wildcard on MD3. This would reduce transfer cost from -15 to -9 but the players would also score 6 points less.

I also thought of another equal strategy, where you switch to a 4-3-3 and sub in Larin or Oh Hyeun-Gyu for Quiñones, and Vásquez or Gallardo for Lee Kang-In.

I’m playing Fantasy World Cup as my first fantasy football game, and I’m completely hooked. But looking at the leaderboards after the first few games, I started thinking about a different way to play: Fantasy World Cup with perfect hindsight.

Basically, the goal is to look back at the matches after they’ve been played and retroactively build the absolute highest-scoring team possible within the game's rules.

The game plays quite differently from the normal Fantasy World Cup. It's a pure optimization puzzle where a perfect solution actually exists.

I’ve already mapped out the (hopefully) perfect solution after the first two games - though I’m fully aware this is completely useless for finding the final solution at the end of the tournament and I really just did it for fun.

Moving forward, my plan is to do this periodically: re-optimize the team up to the current date, purely maximizing points for past games with zero regard for future scoring possibilities. However, I’m realizing the complexity is going to skyrocket as more games unfold and transfer strategy comes into play. Because of that, I'm honestly not sure if I'll be able to successfully find the absolute perfect solution as the tournament goes on, and I definitely won't be able to prove it.

Is anybody else doing this? If there's already a community for this, please point me in that direction!
