Grazie a tutti!

Geberit dual flush not lifting the flush valve enough after replacement

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to diagnose an issue with my Geberit concealed cistern after the flush valve ("bell"/flush valve assembly) was replaced by a plumber

Here's the situation:

  • The flush valve itself works
  • If I manually lift the small ring, I get a complete 3L flush
  • If I manually lift the large ring, I get a complete 6L flush
  • So the valve is not sticking and the mechanism inside the flush valve works correctly

The problem seems to be the actuation mechanism

When I press the flush buttons:

  • The small button only flushes while I keep it pressed, as soon as I release it, the valve drops back down instead of completing the 3L flush cycle
  • The large button doesn't flush at all, it reaches a hard stop before lifting the valve enough

I've already tried:

  • Adjusting the push rods to every possible length
  • Checking that the buttons are correctly installed
  • Confirming that the flush valve itself works when operated manually

It looks like the push rods simply don't have enough travel to lift the rings on the flush valve high enough to engage properly

Is there any adjustment I'm missing that could recover those missing few millimeters of travel?Has anyone seen this exact issue after replacing a Geberit flush valve?

I'd really like to avoid calling another plumber if this is something I can fix myself

Grazie!

Why does my iPhone show two identical Passkeys for the same Apple ID when scanning a QR code? (I've exhausted every troubleshooting step)

I'm hoping someone who really understands how Passkeys work under the hood can help me, I'm completely out of ideas

The Issue

Whenever I try to sign in on to a website using my iPhone with the Passkey authenticator (by scanning a QR code), my iPhone displays two identical Passkey options

https://preview.redd.it/2elk4my3hech1.png?width=1032&format=png&auto=webp&s=b79956817fe5c63b7287ca284f631f2df76203f5

Both entries:

  • show exactly the same Apple ID/email address
  • look identical
  • appear to belong to the same account

There is absolutely nothing in the UI that distinguishes one from the other. Fortunately no matter which one I choose, the login succeeds and I end up in exactly the same account

Already Checked

To avoid the usual suggestions, here's everything I've already investigated:

  • I checked iCloud Keychain
  • I looked for duplicate passwords or credentials
  • I checked whether I had duplicate Apple IDs (I don't)
  • I investigated whether Windows Hello or Microsoft Passkeys could somehow be involved because I previously used Windows
  • I checked my Microsoft/Google account for stored Passkeys and credentials
  • I removed old credentials where possible

I couldn't find any duplicate Passkeys anywhere, the duplicate prompt still appears every single time

The duplication happens on the iPhone itself, in the Passkey selection sheet that appears after scanning the QR code

So it seems iOS itself believes there are two matching credentials

Questions

  1. Can iCloud Keychain actually store multiple Passkeys for the same account without exposing them in Settings?
  2. Is there any hidden database or developer tool that lets you inspect Passkeys in more detail?
  3. Could one credential be synced from another Apple device even if everything appears normal?
  4. Has anyone seen two completely identical Passkey entries with no visible way to distinguish or delete one?

I'm mainly interested in understanding why iOS thinks two credentials exist, not just finding a workaround

Grazie!
