Coming straight after reading umineko I'm not sure what approach to take here

Do I solve it as a mystery to try and find the usual whodunit whydunit and howdunit?

My perception on these has shifted a bit after umineko but considering it has question arcs and answer arcs similar to umineko

I'm not sure if I should take it as a story or a mystery

just got done with episode 8 still got no idea who they are

i used they instead of her cause ive heard about even more characters especially someone named piece she was one of the first characters i saw of this game and yet i couldnt find her
i looked it up online and its apparently for some new version only so can anyone tell me how to get it done in umineko project as i use it
