After the Balloon Girls, I had to make Banksy’s Flower Thrower too

After Balloon Girl and Floating Balloon Girl, I wanted to continue my little series of Banksy-inspired 3D models with the iconic Flower Thrower.

This one turned out to be much trickier than I expected. The biggest challenge was the bouquet. My first versions looked more realistic, but they were difficult to print reliably. After several iterations, I ended up with a simplified low-poly design that prints much better while still reading clearly as flowers.

I honestly didn’t expect my previous models—especially Floating Balloon Girl—to receive such a positive response. Seeing so many people download, print and follow my work has been incredibly motivating, so thank you all for the support!

I’d love to hear what you think—and whether I should continue the series with more iconic artworks.

The Thinker (2026 Edition)

I started wondering what Rodin’s Thinker would look like if it were created today.

The result is this modern interpretation of the iconic sculpture. The pose is unchanged, but instead of contemplating life’s biggest questions, he’s staring at a smartphone.

Rather than turning it into a joke model, I wanted it to feel like a genuine contemporary sculpture. To support that idea, I intentionally simplified the geometry and incorporated subtle low-poly elements while keeping the iconic silhouette instantly recognizable.

Depending on how you look at it, it’s either social commentary, a reflection of modern life, or simply an updated version of a classic artwork.

Designed as an easy-to-print decorative sculpture for desks, shelves and bookcases.

What do you think: a fitting update to The Thinker, or am I being too harsh on our generation?

My Second Banksy-Inspired 3D Print: Floating Balloon Girl

A few weeks ago I uploaded my first Banksy-inspired Balloon Girl frame.

I honestly didn’t expect much, so seeing it reach 100+ collections, receiving my first Boost (I feel special), and reading all the encouraging comments was incredibly motivating.

The feedback, suggestions, and discussions here on Reddit also helped shape this new project.

This time I took inspiration from another Banksy artwork featuring a girl lifted by balloons and turned it into something a little different. Instead of being limited to a frame, the model can hang from shelves, mirrors, picture frames, cabinet edges, or be displayed as wall art using the included frame.

The frame version is probably closer to the original inspiration, but I ended up really liking the shelf version because it feels like the girl is actually floating.

Thanks again to everyone who downloaded, commented, suggested improvements, or simply stopped by to take a look. I’d love to hear what you think!

I updated my Banksy-inspired shadow box after your feedback

A few days ago I shared an early version of this project and got some really helpful feedback.
Based on your suggestions, I redesigned several parts of the model:

- Added a modular no-AMS version
- Cleaner and more geometric frame
- Integrated wall-mounting holes
- Separate balloon for easier printing and color changes
- Stronger ribbon-style balloon string
- Balloon alignment tab for easier assembly

I also made it possible to use the model without the frame. The individual parts can be attached to mirrors, monitor bezels, bookshelves, picture frames, walls, and other decorative objects.
Still pretty new to 3D design, but I’m really happy with how this version turned out. I’d love to hear what you think!

My first attempt at a Banksy-inspired floating wall print

Still pretty new to designing my own models, but I wanted to try creating one of my favorite Banksy-inspired motifs as a floating wall piece.

Made with Meshy + Bambu Studio and printed on my Bambu printer.
The balloon string is still a bit fragile, but I’m honestly really happy with how the first prototype turned out.

Uploaded the model on MakerWorld as well if anyone wants to try printing it.
