98 323ic fuel pump question

after installing a new fuel pump on a car that hasnt run in my ownership yet wheb i go to fill up at the gas station, it doesnt leak for the first big of gas i put it but by the time i get in my car the level on the gauge has gone back down and theres fuel on the ground. when taking out the old pump i noticed there was only one hose attatched and didnt see another hose around. i looked online and see some have it and some dont. seals were tight and everything was good but there was still fuel on top of the fuel pump when i checked it. any way to tell if i need that other hose or any tips at all?

Anybody heard this sound before and know what it is?

Im hearing this rattle sound at idle and occasionally lower rpms while driving. kinda sounds like its bottom end cuz i hear it more under the car, almost sounds like a loose metal bracket or something. haven't had the chance to really look into it. nothing looked loose with the pulleys or nothing noticeable after a glance at the engine top and bottom but ill have it up on the lift tomorrow.

Just bought an e36

Hey I have an e39 530i and I was inspired by a friend to end up buying my own e36. I just recently got this 1998 323i with a few problems mainly being it has no power at all but im sure I can fix that. its got a small tear in the sunroof, and a lil bit of rust on the rotors and calipers but everywhere else looks good. was still coolant in the reservoir and i heard some pressure being released when I opened it so that seems like good news. the engine turns over by hand and I could feel the compression strokes. So excited to build this thing out and join the e36 people. lmk some tips or common e36 things to lookout for! preciate all the help!

Best way to remove rear windshield tint?

I have a 2002 bmw 530i so its an old car but i am proud of the fact all of my defroster lines work and i do use them very often when its needed. I want to tint my car darker and with uv blocking tint however i need to remove the tint that is on it because it has waves and pockets of air. I heard of methods like using a trash bag on a hot day, using a steamer, and tracing the defroster lines. Whats the best way I can get this tint off without damaging the lines? worse case scenario i will take an option that takes longer but safer rather than quicker and risky.

I have an e39 530 that has the msport suspension i believe. the shocks are going out and need to be replaced as well as my springs that are sagging. Id like to have the car lowered and possibly some sportier feeling suspension. I know many say going oem is the way to go but i am curious on the performance of the bilstein b8/b6 and other similar options with lowering springs. Any recommendations/how well they compare to stock? I do love how smooth it used to ride on the highway and would like to keep that feeling but i know stiffer suspension will lessen that effect. also not sure that ive had the full experience of the oem suspension since its been messed up for a while now so i may be okay with trading that off for a stiffer ride on the backroads.
