10 months post op, and happy!

44 years old, 5 foot 2, 2 c sections. I've had a big belly all my life, it's just my anatomy. Pre op, I was 149 lbs. Post op, I dropped weight fast and was in the low 130s within 2 months and have plateaued there. This was due to not eating as much, my stomach felt so tight. I was also more careful with my diet.

I love my results! My goal was to not look pregnant and to have my clothes fit like they're supposed to, and I definitely achieved that. I do wish I had a more snatched, hourglass waist and I wasn't as "boxy" but I'm still happy. I do not work out as much as I should (hello thighs) so I'm hoping with a more serious exercise routine, I'll tone up more.

I do have a bulge above my belly button, but my surgeon told me even before surgery, that's my anatomy and I wouldn't be washboard flat. It seems to come and go, and it's not really visible with clothes, so I'm not too pressed about it. Also, my belly button scar and incision line is still pretty dark. It's fading, but I'm Hispanic and I just naturally scar dark. I may try more intensive treatments on it, but my surgeon wants to wait for the 1 year mark.

If anyone has any questions, I'm happy to answer!

My first piece

Not a collector, but maybe this is the start? I'm not sure how accurate the Google lens description is, but if it is, I'm shocked it is around 100 years old with no obvious nicks or chips that I can see! Purchased at a warehouse estate sale for $5. Any additional info on this piece welcomed!

My biggest regret...

My biggest regret... Is not getting this done much sooner! Because now I'm 44 years old and I want to wear all the stuff I never wore in my 20s and 30s because I was insecure about my belly. But I don't want to look like an old lady cosplaying as a teenager 😂 I'm having a midlife crisis shopping for clothes!
