This may be a silly question, but it's something that is genuinely getting to me and I can't stand that it is. Sometimes I do have the urge to argue back, to defend what I love and explain why the hater is not correct, but I know that in doing so it would give them the response they want, would be useless and do nothing to change their point of view.

Unrelenting and nonsensical hate for our favourite series/CPs has no doubt been something we've all come across, and I understand the block/mute response, but how do you guys stop it from affecting you emotionally? How do you stop yourself from getting upset, especially if they are tearing down your favourites and their words are really hurtful?
